Postive life transformations

20170904_144343.jpgI just wanted to share a new practice that I have been working with. I enjoy walking, and perhaps do it too much (as a means of procrastination!) As that may be, it beats watching television, (at least sometimes) and also provide a great place for reflection. Today, in order to create a more positive outlook, I came up with this walking mediation.

The great thing about walking is that most people can do it, and it doesn't require a huge commitment of energy or time. That being said, I have discovered that walking, especially with a particular focus, or no focus at all, if that is required, can be a very fruitful field for creating positive transformations in oneself. Sometimes, it is better to allow yourself simply to experience the world around you, to become a dweller in your own body, to just be a human being, without a name or a rank, without goals or reflections....and just walk. At other times, walking can become a vibrant field where the body and mind are engaged in a reciprocal process, moving from one world to the next. Imagination can be grounded and nurtured in the embrace of the environment and sheer pleasure of moving.

Here is a simple walking meditation, one that can bring you into a positive energetic space, and also allow you to find your way to a more balanced view of circumstances. I would proffer that the more you engage with these types of practices, the more that you will gain from them! So, here it is…(I am happy to elaborate in greater detail if there is interest).

  1. Let go of all expectations. Allow for anything that manifests in your experience to manifest. There is no judgment, and no effort, but there is intention, and focus. But, keep your mind and body relaxed and positive.
  2. Connect with the environment around you. With the feeling of movement. Try to experience direct sensation, the feeling of your feet on the ground, the wind, the light, the sky, the colors, and even thoughts that arise. All of this is part of the experience. But, the focus is simply on movement, and observation.
  3. Bring into your mind anything in your current and past life experience that create negative emotions, challenges, obstacles, regrets...simply, anything that is bothering you.
  4. See all of these elements gather into a cloud of darkness, a black cloud that surrounds you. This black cloud is just this, a cloud, smoke, insubstantial.
  5. As you continue to walk, feel and see this cloud dissolving. Feel, like the sun coming out after a rain storm, that it is gradually dissolving. Naturally, and without effort.
  6. Gain power and confidence as lessons, skills, and knowledge are extracted from the cloud of darkness, and as they are gradually transformed into a clear, reflective space.
  7. A cloud of golden light, dancing with liberated energy surrounds you now. It is a space of manifestation, of infinite possibilities. It expands beyond your body and everything around you begins to vibrate with this energy.
  8. Let your mind go blank. Allow for solutions to particular problems, or connections you might need, or insights, to manifest.
  9. Relax into a feeling of total self-confidence, peace, and accomplishment.
  10. Know that the insights you have gained will come into your mind whenever necessary. All positive elements are being attracted into your life.
