—¿Quién te dijo que estoy agresivo, insinúas que estoy molesto sin razón?
— Nadie, solo basta con verte. No insinuó, pero estás molesto.
— Todos andan hoy con la misma cantaleta. ¡Como quieren que no ande molesto! Si veo el sufrimiento de los pobres, de madres que añoran el regreso de sus hijos inmigrantes, esposas soportando penurias con las remesas insuficientes que reciben de sus esposos en el exilio obligado, e hijos desnutridos que despiertan a diario preguntando, ¿cuándo llega papá?
—Tienes razón, si lo vemos de esa manera.
— Claro que tengo razón. No ves que mientras algunos andan por ahí comprando arreglos de rosas, cajas de bombones, comiendo en lujosos restaurantes en nombre del amor, la mayoría hacen peripecias para sobrevivir día a día, campeando como pueden el mal sobrevenido. Si en verdad el amor fuese extendido, los males serían llevaderos. Pero no, la codicia impera por temporada arrastrando a los tontos al consumo.
— ¿Quieres decir que porque te desee un feliz día de los enamorados, soy un tonto e insensible?
— No mi amigo, nada más alejado de mi intención. Lo que te quiero decir, es que si en verdad estuviésemos enamorados todos los días estas cosas que te he referido no existieran. ¿Por qué quien quiere algún mal para alguien a quien ama?
— Amigo discúlpame, ahora entiendo.
