Hi Steemers today I wanted to speak about Kevin Harts first autobiography....
….Hilarious, insightful and inspirational. These are the three words that come into mind as I summarise Kevin Harts book called “I can’t make this up; life lessons.”

Insightful

Kevin Hart insights the readers from starting his journey, by talking about his childhood. He begins talking about the pressures of a low income household and the struggles of coming from a disruptive childhood. The comedian does not hold back information and talks deep into his father’s crazy relationship with drugs, his brother going prison and his mother’s vigilant discipline. What was really admirable about the scripture within the book, is how Kevin often related back to these childhood obstacles as his strengths in adulthood. He saw his Fathers crazy behavior sparking the inspiration for his comedy; stories that has featured in his stand up. Additionally, I find that his Father raising the bar in ridiculousness, creativity and sheer out of ordinary character, has provided Kevin an imagination and boldness to indulge in daring experiences himself. I mean, once your father turns up middle of the night with a grown dog ..telling you that he has finally provided you the pet you always wanted ..when in fact he has just stolen it from the neighbors upon their very eyes ..there is no limit to the creative and bold behavior that you cannot surpass from then. Fortunately for Kevin, he managed to channel that exposure of madness in the correct direction ..unlike his brother who served time before going into the army. That is simply down to his late mother, her vigorous discipline and remarkable work ethic rubbed off on Kevin, especially due to the large amount of times she did not leave him out of her sight. It would be fair to state that for their better or worse behavior, Kevin’s parents play a large role on who Kevin is today. His magnificent work ethic, easy going, funny and business mentality is a reflection of his childhood exposure.

Hilarious

If stories of Kevin’s father high on drugs is not enough to have you in a pitfull of stitches, then there is large amount of other content that will have you falling from your seat. Kevin’s internal narration of trying to escape the clutches capture of his mother, or the mischief of stimulating himself at work will kill you. I am a fan of Kevin Hart’s work (not so much his last two stand ups) but the story about changing the time absolutely finished me! In my opinion the funniest Kevin Hart moment is not in his films, Youtube channel or stand ups, but in his book. As expected from a successful comedian ..Kevin perfectly articulates a picture upon reader’s imagination when explaining stories within his book. The combination of painting the scenery, explaining his internal thought process works well with the brilliant yet idiotic madness that occurs. Due to the nature of his work Kevin also mingles with a lot of various comedians. Such combinations of funny people being together, reveals more hilarious, crazy and exposing nature within the book. Spoiler* (One infamous comedian was caught jerking off at Kevin’s house). As you would expect from a comedians autobiography ..there is plenty of hilarious content.

Inspirational

One thing I did not expect from a comedian ..(the beauty of autobiographies) is Kevin’s inspirational mentality. Kevin gracefully shares a lot of pain within his book, his mother dying, his terrible relationship with his ex wife (including domestic violence). As I mentioned above that his father was serious drug addict and his brother was always in trouble with the law in his earlier ages, and a lot more. What was inspiring to read ..was Kevin Harts mentality during these phases in his life. He illustrated ways to use every negative experience, negative feeling and turn it into an opportunity and a level of positivism. The courageous and bravery to share his faults and own up to many of them really shows that he put a lot of heart into his words, which increases value to every life lesson. This was not only just present in his personal life, but also in the long winded efforts to become where he is now within the entertainment industry. It took Kevin many many many years, and he shares his thought process of fear of failure, of fear or risking it all to achieve his goals and dreams. Today’s media makes everything look like an overnight success, but Kevin hart really indulges deep and shares his trials and tribulations within the book, to paint a more humanistic picture about his journey. Illustrating such emotions into the reader only just has you believing in the life lessons he provides; into making it in one owns journey.

Overall I would give Kevin Harts life lessons autobiography a 4.5/5. It provides a blueprint, in not only in how to make it into the entertainment business but in any dream. The sense of empowerment is rare in books and that’s exactly the feeling he provides; Hope, optimism within the journey we call life. My fellow Steemers ..if you are looking for a new read ..
..I highly recommend Kevin Hart’s autobiography - “I can’t make this up: life lessons”

Great writing.
I want to resteem it if you would kindly correct some small typing errors, such as , the 3rd point, 'inspiration' should be 'inspirational'. and few other small changes in punctuations.

Hi @sbd.giveaway, Firstly thank you for pointing out my errors. I find often I eat my words or the words are incorrectly placed. I am hoping by frequently posting stories I become accustomed to spotting these errors. If there are more please do not hesitate to state.
Secondly, Thank You for your support. It is humbling and empowering for something I thought hard and worked long upon to get some recognition! I hope the readers enjoy this review as much as I enjoyed writing it up
