It is possible by delegating tasks. It is skill and an art form. Anyone can bark orders. Just like anyone can doodle on canvass. It takes talent, skill, and experience to paint a Mona Lisa.

Here are tips on the importance of delegating tasks properly
Delegate tasks that to save time.
This is stating the obvious. But there are people who delegate menial tasks that could be completed faster if they do it themselves.
Editors who return articles with minor revisions, Executives who ask their secretary to call their wife that they will be late, and Managers who ask their people to explain their reports. These are some examples of wasted time.
It takes 1 minute of the executives time (To give the order and the secretary to listen to it) and another minute of the secretary's time to call the wife. That is a total of three minutes. If the executive calls his wife himself, it would have been done right away.
Give the hardest task to the laziest person
It is a quote from Bill Gates, Founder, and ex-chairman of Microsoft. He believes that talented lazy people find a way to produce results in the simplest possible way. This is not a solid rule. The operative word is talented.
It is important to get to know the capabilities of your own people. It is your most important task. If you don't know what your people can do, and what they are supposed to do, then the problem is with you.
Check the work
People are not "fire or forget" weapons. Keep track of what you said, what you asked them to do, and the timeframe they need to do it. Project management software like ASANA can help with this.
After they submit their work, check and double check it. You are still responsible for all their work. Make sure you are approachable for any questions they may have and respond right away.
Do not punish the best performer
This is a management flaw that most managers do not realize they are doing. It is common sense to give more work to people who finish their tasks quickly. There are superstar staff that does the heavy lifting for the entire department.
Do not overuse this person. It creates favoritism, jealousy, and a lot of emotional bovine excrement that happens. It is easier to handle tasks than animosity over workmates.
Foster collaboration and cooperation
The most important reason why people delegate is simple, It is just not physically possible for one person to complete the task. The truth is everyone needs each other.
Make them feel needed, Explain to them how they fit into the bigger picture. They need to know how their failure will affect the company as a whole.
Delegation is teamwork. It is what a team is supposed to do. Everyone has a role to play, but do not assume anything. A managers job is to manage.
Delegation is the lifeblood of any organization. The mission and vision can only be achieved by different skill sets from different people working together toward that goal.

yeah i agree with this totally, being able to delegate to someone who can sort it out and you know they can take control of it is everything.
There isn't a way to control everything but there are ways to be more effective and as we acknowledge and emphasized it to good use, it can create great value to our lives.
That's true of what Bill Gates said but in another way. Lazy persons used to go on shortcuts that don't produce quality work, simply they just don't care about the process. In another word, everything has pros and cons. We should see things from different perspectives, not just focusing only on the outcome.
LOL! I've never heard the one about giving the hardest task to the laziest person with talent, but totally makes sense to give them a little push :P
