Who do you think you are?

Yeah what do you think? Everybody should ask his self this question. Who are you? Are you nice towards other people? Are you sympathetic to others? Are you treating others good? Are you having mutual understanding? Are you tolerant? Are you ok with your own flaws? And now the most important question of all. Would you marry yourself? Would it be a good marriage for better or for worse? Would you believe in yourself? Even if it is not going so well? Would you be there for yourself even if everything starts to break apart? Before you can’t answer all these, and certainly a lot more, questions with a “Hell yeah”! there is only one question left to clarify. Why do you think that anybody else should be friendly to you? Why should anybody empathize with you? Why should anybody show understanding for you? First of all you need to want to spend the rest of your life with yourself. You need to decide for yourself. Because there is no reason why anybody else should do that. None!

Ok let’s shift scenes.

You need a new car. So you go to see a car dealer around the corner or meet up with a private seller. Now you stand in front of a great car, as you think. The seller starts explaining and telling. “Well actually I don’t think it’s a good car. But somebody has to buy it. It spins very often. If you hit the gas pedal it brakes. And the heater just works once in a while. If you insert the 4th gear it cogs. Its way too slow and doesn’t look good as well. It already has rusty spots and a dent in the trunk. I think the carburetor is broken as well. But I want you to buy it.” Ok now explain to me why in the world should you buy that car? There is no commonsense reason for that! It is much more likely to buy a car which is praised only positive from the vendor. Which he believes in. Of course you sometimes get lucky, as the “broken” car we just talked about, to find a buyer who believes in the car. Sees the potential in it. To see it broken standing there but in mind already sees the beautiful repaired car after the makeover. The person would believe in the car. But that is highly unlikely and mostly only with parents the case. Parents always believe in their children and see their potential. In love that is rather seldom the case. And why should it be? You get to know somebody. That person doesn’t know you as for example your mum does. You guys go on a date for a couple of times. And now if you don’t think you are amazing and you don’t like yourself that much cause of little rusty parts or dents. Why should the other person like you? There is no reason for it! Mostly that comes across subconsciously. You can’t overplay that. The other person will notice it.

So ask yourself why another person should think you are gorgeous/great or amazing? Who you actually are? And even if you have “bad” characteristics or you don’t love yourself yet as much as you deserve it in fact. Whatever! Then you exactly just love that about yourself. That you are still a little insecure and maybe don’t have that much self-confidence. That is awesome as well. That you are able to be that honest and can say that you are not that self-confident yet. It doesn’t matter but at least you accept the fact and adhere to yourself. The way you are, you are amazing! There is only one you in this world. You are unique and solely that is your secret superpower! Believe in yourself! No matter when and under which circumstances! Always! Cause who when not you?!

The problem is not the problem,
the problem is the attitude towards the problem.
