How many time did you feel embarrassed to don't know what to do?
Personally all my life has had a moment where I didn't know what to do. I have never been a genius I am afraid and probably I have been and I am a simple stupid guy perhaps with a IQ lower than the average, but this doesn't mean that I give up.
I still remember my Erasmus, that was done in Spain. For whom doesn't know what the Erasmus is, it is a part of you university time spent in a foreign country and I have spent 1 year of my time in Spain. I went there that I didn't know how to say HOLA I was thinking the way to write it was without the H but then I started working hard to learn.
I didn't know English and in the Erasmus I was facing with a lot of people from different countries and clearly the majority of them were fluent speaking English so when we were doing the drinking games the rules were in English and I was feeling always bad because I couldn't understand so one of them was bilingual and was traducing for me the questions... how embarrassing. I had a Welsh girlfriend too that started helping me with some classes of English. But even with that I was talking and writing in a shit way.
Times passed and I speak and write much better (I still do mistakes I know and I am sorry about it) and I live in UK therefore I did a big step in that way.
Since yesterday post I was feeling that I feel embarrassed all the time I need to do something related to the use of some programming code therefore last night I chose that I will start learning how to be a Developer. I am following some courses and every spare minute I have will be used to learn how to program with the different languages starting with C, python etc etc
I don't want spend money and I will try to don't give up even if my time is very limited as I need to split between my work life and girlfriend life. If you have any advise to dive me... please do it!
Do not know what to do? - Do something and the answers will come ...

secondo me non è importante essere per forza eccellenti....l'eccellenza di una professione viene fuori dal non mollare e perseguire gli obiettivi...la genialità non mi ha mai entusiasmato e ho notato in più di un'occasione che non ha fatto la differenza....ho capito che sei veterinario....ho due dobermann...maschio e femmina....ne adoro tra le tante qualità la timidezza
eppure li classificherebbero come cani aggressivi eppure tu parli di timidezza :) adoro i cani! Io pero' lavoro con i grossi animali (non da zoo :D).
Ora mi sono fissato che voglio diventare DEV quindi mi sto applicando!

Yes, it's free. I'm taking this as part of a course in Singapore Polytechnic but there are many course online. I did one before in coursera. I have some books but mostly just attending the lectures and referring the notes for now. The anaconda distribution is good in that it contains the normal libraries to start with without having to manual install. You can download from here:
