The YouTube Android app has got 4K HDR playback support. 4K support is currently available to iOS users while Android users can view the video in 4K HDR. So far, Android users were only able to play any video on YouTube with a 1440p resolution. It was even when their phone's display supported the resolution of more than that. But now YouTube's new support is going to change everything.

Android users will now have the option to select their video quality in 2160p 4K HDR. The feature was first spotted by Android Polis, which was later tested on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. If you want to test this support, you need to first look at the videos that have been uploaded to 4K.

YouTube recently announced that it is bringing some updates to its creators and viewers. This includes new interfaces for tablets. YouTube also announced in March that it was giving its US users a YouTube shorts feature. It will be like the TikTok that is currently being tested in India.
