ConsenSys Is Shutting Down Offices in India and the Philippines

Consensys author Joseph Lubin has educated teams in India and the Philippines that their offices will be closing down.

Consensys confirmed to Cointelegraph that neighborhood offices in India and the Philippines would for sure be shut down and that 11 employees are being laid off. A spokesperson for ConsenSys said:

"An aggregate of 11 roles were killed in India and the Philippines because of a realignment of the sales and services group in those countries."

ConsenSys supports seven new Ethereum-based projects with $175,000 of subsidizing

Despite the ongoing rumors of ConsenSys closing down its offices in India and the Philippines, the Ethereum adventure generation studio continues to invest later on.

In October, the organization's head of experiential advertising Yadira Blocker confirmed the latest round of startups to get cash. ConsenSys has been financing what it considers to be promising projects since the start of 2019, having invested $330,000 in 15 startups.

"In Wave 1, we saw a ton of applications however they weren't super strong. In Wave 2, we started to see progressively believable teams and increasingly extraordinary ideas get together," Blocker said. Among the latest recipients, presently as a feature of Wave 3, are Ethereum software customer Lighthouse and mobile decentralized applications constructor Alice.

ConsenSys procured Blockchain infrastructure supplier Infura

In the same month, ConsenSys reported that it had completely procured Infura, a blockchain infrastructure supplier that the firm previously sponsored. Infura is giving Ethereum infrastructure to building decentralized applications, enabling developers to send their solutions without hosting their own full nodes.
