My entry will be about the last photo I took. Let’s go and dive into this blog. 💖
This is the last photo I took using my mobile phone — a "sunset" .
I really love sunsets . I always take a picture of it whenever I see one. Sunset is like a reminder that endings can be beautiful too. However, there is a deeper reason why I love sunsets so much.
I had a best friend, and her name was Rose Ann. She really loves sunsets very much. She would often send me pictures of sunsets and tell me how beautiful they were.
We have been very close since high school. She was a very nice person, and she never failed to make me feel that I was loved. She was there when I needed someone to lean on during my difficult times. But things suddenly changed, and everything crashed.
In 2021, she became depressed because of family problems and studies.
It was May 27, 2021, and I just woke up early in the morning. I checked my phone, and I received a very painful message. “Rose Ann is gone. She passed away just this morning." I was very shocked at that time. I thought it was a prank, but it wasn’t. I was in a devastating state. She passed away all alone in her locked room and I was not able to do anything. All I did was cry in pain. It felt like my heart was crushed over and over again. I love her very much! We even planned to have a picnic, but it will never be realized anymore because she left me. She was the realest friend I had. A true friend who would always show up when I needed her. I miss her everyday. This coming May 27, 2024, will be her death anniversary.
This is why I am so in love with sunsets. It reminded me of my dearest best friend. I hope she’s in a better place now without all the problems she had been carrying all alone. I wish I could have talked to her more often. Just writing this blog is making me cry.😭
This is also a reminder for everyone to always check on your friends and family. Depression is really not a joke. You might see them happy on the outside, but you don’t know that they’re dying inside. Please be kind to everyone! We don’t know what other people are going through with their life. The least we can do is be nice and be a friend.

Awww... I am so sorry to hear about your loss ❤️ having a best friend is precious and I absolutly LOOVE your pictures. It is clear how close you two were and you both have beautiful smiles. That picture with you both dressed up in such Colorful outfits are amazing. And that last picture with you or your friend in the sunset by the beach is incredleble.
I love sunsets like you but after hearing your story... I understand that it has a special meaning.

Depression is really like being lost in a dense fog; everything feels blank, everything feels heavy, and everything feels uncertain. 🥺 That's why we really have to be kind to everyone because we never know what that person has been going through. Just like your dearest friend, Rose Ann, depressed people often hide their pain through their smiles, and they're really good at hiding it. I hope she's able to find eternal peace, and a big hug to you, @reshychannn! ❤️

This is so true. We really don't know other people's burdens. Depressed people often show up cheerfully in front of others. My best friend was not an exemption. She always looked so happy all the time. I wish I knew how she felt. But life must go on. I am always praying for her. ✨💖

Nooo, this is too sad and devastating. She's still very young, why she had to die like that 🥺🥺. Depression ia really a killer, I loath those those laugh when it come to this matter. But I hope Rose is now happy, wherever she is rn 🥺❤️

You're such a wonderful friend for still remembering her even though it's painful. And we have different interpretations of the sunset.

I agree with you. It’s very important to communicate our feelings, but it is more important if people would understand and will not laugh or judge those who are suffering from depression. 🥺

I understand @reshychannn , I lost my best friend seven months ago to Cancer. I have struggled with depression throughout my life and her loss reignited that battle when I felt my weakest.
