Hello Anime Lovers. We continue with more anime that aired last year 2023 and are currently remembered by fans and the industry. This time, we will talk about anime of the Fantasy genre, a genre that we must not confuse with the "Isekai" (although it is true that it has many similarities and often go hand in hand). Fantastic worlds, powerful monsters, angels and demons, sacred knights, adventurers, dragons and many more. This top has all this among the five anime we will talk about next.
As I imagine you may already know, this top is rated by personal opinion from 1 to 10, starting with the worst and ending with the best. I repeat, this list is personal, meaning that everything I say here is my opinion, nothing more. If you agree or disagree with this top, let me know in the comments. Como me imagino deben de saber ya, este top está calificado por opinión personal del 1 al 10, empezando por el peor y terminando con el mejor. Let's start in the best way with the second season of Goblin Slayer, a dark fantasy anime that I don't recommend to everyone. This sequel brought to us last year gives continuation to the adventures of our favorite adventurer. This anime was one of the most anticipated of 2023 by its fans, who were fascinated by the tremendous story presented in its first season. A very different and much more somber and disturbing anime of a medieval world full of adventurers, heroes, wizards and monsters.
The story of our favorite adventurer and expert in hunting and killing Goblins returns with more adventures, new characters and new challenges that will test both his skills and those of his current team, who have been accompanying him for some time now to different quests and dungeons. However, his reputation grows and many more people ask to be trained with him, among them new aspiring adventurers, who will experience firsthand the dark side of the dungeon world.
While this second season is not at the same level as the first, it maintains the essence well with its adventures and stories. Also, the inclusion of new characters and the development of others we already knew gives us more context with some details regarding the main plot. We can also see a development and growth with respect to our protagonist. What fascinates me most about this anime is the originality it possesses in giving us a character who has no power given to him and who, instead, has suffered a traumatic childhood and has worked hard to be who he is now. A great example of hard work, dedication and consistency.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8.5/10 as far as the dark fantasy/adventure genre is concerned.

Empecemos de la mejor manera con la segunda temporada de Goblin Slayer, un anime de fantasía oscura que no se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. Esta secuela que nos trajeron el año pasado da continuación a las aventuras de nuestro aventurero favorito. Este anime fue uno de los más esperados del 2023 por parte de sus fanáticos, los cuales quedaron fascinados por la tremenda historia que nos presentó en su primera temporada. Un anime muy distinto y mucho más sombrío y perturbador de un mundo medieval repleto de aventureros, héroes, magos y monstruos.
La historia de nuestro aventurero favorito y experto cazando y asesinando Goblins regresa con más aventuras, nuevos personajes y nuevos desafíos que pondrá a prueba tanto las habilidades de él como las de su actual equipo, los cuales llevan ya un tiempo acompañándolo a distintas misiones y mazmorras. Sin embargo, su reputación crece y mucha más gente pide que sean entrenados con él, entre ellos nuevos aspirantes a aventureros, los cuales experimentarán por carne propia el lado oscuro del mundo de las mazmorras.
Si bien esta segunda temporada no está al mismo nivel que la primera, mantiene bien la esencia con sus aventuras e historias. También, la inclusión de nuevos personajes y el desarrollo de otros que ya conocíamos nos da más contexto con algunos detalles respecto a la trama principal. También podemos ver un desarrollo y crecimiento con respecto a nuestro protagonista. Lo que más me fascina de este anime es la originalidad que posee al darnos un personaje que no tiene ningún poder regalado y que, en cambio, ha sufrido una niñez traumática y ha trabajado duro para ser quien es ahora. Un gran ejemplo de trabajo duro, dedicación y constancia.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al genero de la fantasía oscura y la aventura.
SourceMokushiroku no Yonkishi
Let's continue with the direct and official sequel of one of the most popular works of the last decade, Nanatsu no Taizai, this continuation aired last year, was one that not a few fans of this great franchise expected to see animated, after its success as a literary work. The triumphant return of an anime that was forgotten years ago, but that returns with more adventures, new characters and a new team and protagonists that seek to replace the old team of the "7 Deadly Sins".
A boy who grew up with his grandfather on top of a huge mountain wishes to go on adventures around the world, but this will soon become a reality when one day he meets his father, who is a Dark Knight who seeks to end his son's life, knowing that this is one of the "4 Knights of the Apocalypse" of the prophecy that promise to bring peace to the world. This being sent by King Arthur, he kills his father, the grandfather of our protagonist, and leaves his son half dead. After surviving, he descends to the outside world and begins his adventure while encountering some rather interesting characters.
This anime brings me a lot of nostalgia, considering that I watched Nanatsu no Taizai only a couple of years ago. And is that the new characters and the adventures they have convey that air that gives the original work that we all know. However, these new protagonists of this story, have their particularity, origin and unique development that traps and leaves us wanting more. The animation is a plus that we always wanted to see in the last seasons of the original work, besides bringing back some of the memorable characters, such as Meliodas, and incredible battles. The next generation looks promising and the ending leaves us wanting more.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8.5/10 as far as the fantasy/adventure genre is concerned.

Sigamos con la secuela directa y oficial de una de las obras más populares de la última década, Nanatsu no Taizai, esta continuación emitida el año pasado, fue uno que no pocos fanáticos de esta gran franquicia esperaban ver animada, luego de su éxito como obra literaria. El regreso triunfal de un anime que fue olvidado hace años, pero que regresa con más aventuras, nuevos personajes y un nuevo equipo y protagonistas que buscan reemplazar al antiguo equipo de los “7 Pecados Capitales”.
Un chico que creció junto con su abuelo en la cima de una enorme montaña desea ir de aventuras por el mundo, pero esto pronto se hará realidad al encontrarse un día con su padre, quien es un Caballeros Oscuro que busca acabar con la vida de su hijo, al saber que este es uno de los “4 Caballeros del Apocalipsis” de la profecía que prometen traer paz al mundo. Este siendo enviado por el Rey Arturo, acaba con la vida de su padre, el abuelo de nuestro protagonista, y deja medio muerto a su hijo. Luego de sobrevivir, este baja al mundo exterior e inicia su aventura mientras se topa con algunos personajes un tanto interesantes.
Este anime me trae mucha nostalgia, teniendo en cuenta que vi Nanatsu no Taizai hace solo un par de años. Y es que los nuevos personajes y las aventuras que estos tienen transmiten ese aire que da la obra original que todos conocemos. Sin embargo, estos nuevos protagonistas de esta historia, tienen su particularidad, origen y desarrollo único que atrapa y nos deja con ganas de más. La animación es un plus que siempre quisimos ver en las últimas temporadas de la obra original, además de traer de vuelta a algunos de los personajes memorables, como lo es Meliodas, y batallas increíbles. La próxima generación se ve prometedora y el final nos deja con ganas de más.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de la fantasía y la aventura.

Let's go now with a new anime that nobody expected but that enchanted everyone last year. A world full of chaos and wars, dragons and powerful beings and knights who seek to end evil. A plot that, at first, may be somewhat similar to many other works of this style, but its characters and story gives it a touch of originality, apart from its incredible battles and moments that literally broke the internet. I was fascinated to see this anime when it was on the air and it was one of my favorites of 2023.
In a world plunged by the destruction caused by a strong battle that humanity has with the "Dragons" powerful beings that destroy everything and lurk at night. These are led by beings sent to exterminate humanity. The knights, ordinary people who train daily to kill dragons with swords made from meteorite, face the waves of dragons every night. Among them is a boy who seeks to be the strongest of them all in order to protect his beloved companion. However, one night, on the verge of dying, he encounters a vision of the future that will give him the power to wipe out this race.
As I said at the beginning, the plot is somewhat recognizable, but the interesting thing here is the story and the characters presented to us, which have a very good development, with chapters that become more and more interesting, incredible battles and an animation that leaves no one indifferent and fulfills what is expected. Time travel, invincible beings being defeated, moments that leave you with your heart in your hand and characters that you will surely love or hate for the rest of your life. All this and more is what you will find in this magnificent animated work. I can admit that, between fantasy, action and adventure, this anime is one of the best of 2023.
Personally, I give it a 9/10 rating as far as the fantasy and action genre is concerned.

Vamos ahora con un anime nuevo que nadie esperaba pero que encantó a todo el mundo el año pasado. Un mundo repleto de caos y guerras, dragones y seres poderosos y caballeros que buscan acabar con el mal. Una trama que, al principio, puede ser un tanto similar a a muchas otras obras de este estilo, pero sus personajes e historia le da un toque de originalidad, aparte de sus increíbles batallas y momentos que, literalmente, rompieron el internet. Este anime me fascinó verlo en su momento en emisión y fue de mis favoritos del 2023.
En un mundo sumido por la destrucción que causa una fuerte batalla que tiene la humanidad con los “Dragones” seres poderosos que acaban con todo y que acechan en las noches. Estos son liderados por seres enviados a exterminar con la humanidad. Los caballeros, personas comunes que entrenan diariamente para acabar con dragones con espadas hechas con un meteorito, se enfrentan todas las noches con las oleadas de dragones. Entre ellos, está un chico que busca ser el más fuerte de todos para así proteger a su querida compañera. Sin embargo, una noche, a punto de morir, este se topa con una visión del futuro que le otorgará el poder para acabar con esta raza.
Como ya dije al principio, la trama es un tanto reconocible, pero lo interesante aquí es la historia y los personajes que nos presentan, los cuales tienen un muy buen desarrollo, con capítulos que se vuelven cada vez más y más interesantes, batallas increíbles y una animación que no deja indiferente a nadie y cumple con lo esperado. Viajes en el tiempo, seres invencibles siendo derrotados, momentos que te dejan con el corazón en la mano y personajes que seguramente amarás u odiarás por el resto de tu vida. Todo esto y más es lo que encontrarás en esta magnífica obra animada. Puedo admitir que, entre fantasía, acción y aventura, este anime es de los mejores del 2023.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género de la fantasía y la acción.

We continue with the fourth season of an anime we all know as "DanMachi", one of the best anime works I have ever seen. This one, although it started airing in the middle of the year 2022, began its second part in the beginning of 2023. One of the fantasy anime that I was most fascinated to watch last year and that, personally, I would place it among the first of my "Top 5 Best Fantasy Anime" in history. In this fourth season we get to enjoy more adventures of our beloved Bell Carnel, with the company of some of his companions and new and not so new people in the dungeon.
The story continues with a murder inside the dungeon caused by an elf that those of us who know the anime, will know who she is. Our protagonist, along with a group of adventurers, go in search of her capture while being cornered and tricked by some members who seek to cause a huge disaster deep inside the dungeon. What lurks there will be to no one's liking and everyone's lives will be in danger with what lies ahead.
If you haven't seen this anime, I recommend it 100%, it's worth watching the three previous seasons so you're up to date with this fourth one (right now as I'm writing this I feel like watching it again in its entirety tonight). And is that its animation, characters, story, fights, development, in its entirety, is a complete masterpiece. And it's no wonder it's so popular, seeing the level of quality it has both in the battles and in the rest of the chapters. It is impossible not to get hooked on this anime,m and especially with this last season that takes everything to the limit and shows us a different side of some of the main characters.
Personally, I give it a 9.5/10 rating as far as the fantasy and adventure genre is concerned.

Seguimos con la cuarta temporada de un anime que todos conocemos como “DanMachi”, una de las mejores obras animadas que he visto en mi vida. Esta, si bien empezó a emitirse a mediados del año 2022, este inició su segunda parte a inicios del 2023. Uno de los animes de fantasía que más me fascinó ver el año pasado y que, personalmente, lo colocaría entre los primeros de mi “Top 5 Mejores Animes de Fantasía” de la historia. En esta cuarta temporada podemos disfrutar de más aventuras de nuestro querido Bell Carnel, con la compañía de algunos de sus compañeros y de gente nueva y no tan nueva en la mazmorra.
La historia continúa con un asesinato dentro de la mazmorra causado por una elfa que los que conocemos el anime, sabremos quién es. Nuestro protagonista, junto con un grupo de aventureros, se adentran en busca de su captura mientras son acorralados y engañados por algunos miembros que buscan causar un enorme desastre en lo más profundo de la mazmorra. Lo que se esconde allí no será del agrado de nadie y la vida de todos correrá peligro con lo que se avecina.
Si no has visto este anime, te lo recomiendo al 100%, vale la pena ver las tres temporadas anteriores para que estés al día con esta cuarta (ahora mismo que estoy escribiendo esto me dan ganas de verla de nuevo completa esta noche). Y es que su animación, personajes, historia, peleas, desarrollo, en su totalidad, es una completa obra maestra. Y no es de extrañar que sea tan popular, al ver el nivel de calidad que tiene tanto en las batallas como en el resto de los capítulos. Es imposible no engancharse con este anime, y sobre todo con esta última temporada que lleva todo al límite y nos muestra un lado distinto de algunos de los personajes principales.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de fantasía y aventura.

This anime, with the best rating of all in all sites, breaking any record and fascinating everyone with its incredible animation and story, is the one that is positioned as the best anime of the whole year 2023. An anime that I enjoy watching and that I recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it yet not to waste time and watch it right now.
A white-haired elf and magic expert concludes her long adventure with the rest of her team, among which is the hero of that time, together they defeat the Demon King and bring peace to the world. However, the years pass and her companions grow old and die while she continues to travel the world in search of new enchantments and adventures. The successors of some of her old companions accompany her on yet another adventure that will take them back to where it all ended in search of meeting her old friends again.
An anime that has everything: adventure, magic, comedy, drama, romance, action, etc. With a story that starts right at the end of the story we all already know, this anime completely breaks away from what we are all used to seeing in typical fantasy and hero anime. This is the continuation of the end, what happens beyond, the adventures and life beyond the end. The characters, along with the protagonist, are developed too well, with stories that intertwine with each other. Unforgettable moments, breathtaking battles and a level of animation and quality in visual and sound effects that will leave you in complete awe.
Personally, I give it a well-deserved rating of 10/10 as far as the fantasy and adventure genre is concerned.

Una elfa de cabello blanco y experta en magia concluye su larga aventura con el resto de su equipo, entre los cuales está el héroe de aquella época, juntos vencen al Rey Demonio y traen la paz al mundo. Sin embargo, los años pasan y sus compañeros envejecen y mueren mientras que ella sigue viajando por el mundo en busca de nuevos encantamientos y aventuras. Los sucesores de algunos de sus antiguos compañeros la acompañan en una aventura más que los llevará a donde terminó todo en busca de encontrarse de nuevo con sus viejos amigos.
Un anime que tiene de todo: aventura, magia, comedia, drama, romance, acción, etc. Con una historia que inicia justo al final de la historia que ya todos conocemos, este anime rompe por completo con lo que todos estamos acostumbrados a ver en los típicos animes de fantasía y héroes. Esta es la continuación del final, lo que sucede más allá, las aventuras y la vida más allá del fin. Los personajes, junto con la protagonista, se desarrollan demasiado bien, con historias que se entrelazan entre sí. Momentos inolvidables, batallas impresionantes y un nivel de animación y calidad en efectos visuales y de sonido que te dejarán maravillado por completo.
Personalmente, le doy una muy merecida calificación de 10/10 en lo que respecta al género de la fantasía y la aventura.

So far I got bored with Mokushiroku no Yonkishi, maybe somewhat annoyed by how loud the main character is. But I feel it's just my mood at the time of watching. I'll still try to rewatch when my mood changes, as I've like 7 deadly sins.
Frieren is the best. I didn't like it at first because it's kinda slow but later on, I realize it's part of its charm. I like everything about it now.
The rest - I haven't watched. And because of your big ratings, I think I'll watch some when I have time.
The protagonist of "The 4 Knights of the Apocalypse" gives a different point of view than what we are used to from Nanatsu no Taizai. Likewise, it is not like the first seasons of the original series, but it has its essence due to the nostalgia it transmits.
In the case of Frieren, I completely agree, and especially with the second part (the last 12 chapters) which are completely crazy. He deserves to be on top of everything right now.
And with the rest of the animes, if you are interested in starting to watch them, I recommend that you start with DanMachi, which is like 4 seasons, but they are very worth it. It's very good, I recommend it 100%.

Maybe that was the mistake, I don't know, but since it is a separate story from the main one, it probably didn't catch your attention from the beginning. However, if you rewatch it as a new story, you might like it, maybe.
I'm not sure where else to find DanMachi, but it's worth seeking out and checking out.

Indeed! I'm currently on it's latest update on its manga (haven't watched yet the anime adaptation), and yeah, you can still see some of the characters from Nanatsu No Taizai there. I was really looking forward to its next update because...

Nasien's parents are revealed (Dianne and King!—finally I'll be seeing more of them again). Also, I'm looking forward to know on what will happened to Sixtus after the last panel of his fight against a knight from Camelot (I forgot his name...)
Although I really enjoyed reading the current updates, I'm somehow disappointed on what happened to some of the characters from Nanatsu No Taizai in this sequel...

I was disappointed with what happened to Vivian and Jericho because I really thought that Vivian would change after the story in Nanatsu No Taizai ended. But alas! Her lunacy continued there... and also, as for Jericho, * sighs heavily *, I can't express my disappointment with what happened to her character. She's really one of my fav characters from Nanatsu, so what Nakaba-sensei did to her character really shocked and disappointed me...I thought she'd find her happiness in this sequel, but still, she ends up yearning for a man that she can never have * sobs hysterically *.
As for the other animes mentioned, I haven't watched them yet, though I already heard of them. I still haven't got time to watch new animes, but I'm hoping I can watch some of them (especially Frieren because I'm really interested in its story!) soon.
