So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to come to an end. We are currently on our second topic for this week which is, “INFLATION PANGS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about a toxic relationship they had experienced at one time or the other. And not just them, the ones a close friend or relation went through.
It was an eye-opening topic indeed, learning some of the horrors some people were made to go through, thereby affecting their psyche and mental health. We all learned a lot from this topic.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w61e1 tags. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about the toxic relationship a friend of hers was in and how it got so bad to the point of beatings and other abuses being endured. Despite the author’s efforts, things didnt get better, it even affected their friendship. Just goes to show how bad toxic relationships can make us push those who we should hold close.

For this author, he told us about his experience with a toxic colleague who tried to turn others at work against him. When he couldnt take it anymore, he decided to fight back, and he did it the only way he knew how. Through work. And that worked well for him.

*This author told us about his mother-in-law who seemed to make life miserable for everyone around her, and she was not someone that could easily be left alone because she was family. So, he shared the way he managed to cope with such a person.
