El porqué de esta publicación

Además de lo anterior y retomando el nombre de la publicación, puedo decir que el deporte es luz en nuestras vidas y los colores se lo ponen los atletas con las actuaciones que nos regalan.
Espero que le guste, al menos, a uno de mis seguidores. De cualquier manera, es la manera que tengo de hacer lo que me gusta sin violar la regla de una publicación cada 24 horas.
Las estrellas atléticas brillan en inicio de competiciones
El atletismo es uno de los deportes más seguidos en los juegos olímpicos y lo que están haciendo las estrellas en este inicio de temporada es sencillamente fantástico. Uno de estos eventos ocurrió este fin de semana en Atlanta, Estados Unidos, y los tiempos estampados allí presagian un torneo olímpico de altísima calidad.
Dentro de los protagonistas estuvieron el velocista Noah Liles de los Estados Unidos, quien en los 150 metros (prueba no olímpica) alcanzó la segunda mejor marca de todos los tiempos, solo superado por la realizada por Usain Bolt. El jamaicano ha dicho que el atleta norteamericano puede romper su record de los 200 metros.
Otros que brillaron fueron la saltadora de largo Tara Davis-Woodhall y el vallista corto Grant Holloway, en ambos casos, con marcas mundiales de sus especialidades.
Simone Biles manda un mensaje al mundo
A sus 27 años esta atleta consolida el lugar que tiene ganado a nivel internacional y logró alcanzar la medalla de oro en un torneo internacional de primer nivel desarrollado en Estados Unidos. Cuando faltan menos de 70 días para el inicio de los Juegos Olímpicos, la atleta norteamericana avisó que va por el título olímpico en la categoría de máxima acumuladora. Puede alcanzarlo o no, lo cierto es que, para quien escribe está en el top 2 de las mejores de todos los tiempos, junto a la rumana Nadia Comaneci.
Campeones de la NBA eliminados en playoff semifinales
Lo sucedido en la duela de los vigentes campeones de la NBA clasifica como uno de los hechos más significativos de la actual temporada de esta competición porque los actuales campeones y anfitriones fueron eliminados por los de Minnesota Timberwolves.
Fue una serie trepidante en el que los Timberwolves comenzaron ganando dos juegos en la cancha de los Denver Nuggets, después los de Denver ganaron tres juegos consecutivos. Con la serie 3 a 2 a favor de los vigentes campeones, los retadores de Minnesota ganaron los juegos 6 y 7, para sentenciar al equipo del actual MVP de la NBA, Nikola Jokic.
Bayer Leverkusen y Manchester City hacen historia
Estos dos fueron los equipos que a nivel de liga lograron hechos inéditos en sus competiciones. De una parte, el Bayer Leverkusen se convirtió en el único equipo que ha logrado ganar la Bundesliga de manera invicto. Por cierto, este equipo mantiene esa condición y todavía debe afrontar dos finales de competencias: La Copa de Europa y la Supercopa de Alemania.
Por su parte, el Manchester City ha extendido su dinastía y se convirtió en el único equipo de la Premier League en ganar cuatro ligas de manera consecutivas. Esto en 136 años de historia solo ha sido conseguido por el equipo que dirige Pep Guardiola.
Nuevo campeón del PGA Championship de Golf
Este es uno de los deportes en los que estoy dando mis primeros pasos. Gracias a @hosgug he podido aprender parte del ABC de una actividad de la que solo sabía que Tiger Woods es una de las leyendas de todos los tiempos.
Este domingo culminó el segundo major del año y Xander Schauffele ganó su 1er major en el Campeonato PGA en un emocionante final, ganando en el último hoyo.

Continúa la MLB atrapando corazones
La mejor liga de béisbol del mundo continúa su accionar trepidante y este fin de semana nos regaló resultados interesantes.
De manera general, los equipos que van comandando cada uno de sus grupos son en la Liga Nacional: LN Este Phillies de Filadelfia, LN Centro Cerveceros de Milwaukee y LN Oeste Dogers de los Ángeles. En esta liga lo interesante es que el todopoderoso equipo de los Dogers no es quien más ha ganado. El liderato lo llevan los de Filadelfia con 34 victorias.
Por su parte, en la Liga Americana estos son los líderes: LA Este Yankees de Nueva York, LA Centro Guardianes de Cleveland y por la LA Oeste Marineros de Seattle.
En esta liga significar que los Yankees son los que tienen la mayor cantidad de victorias con 33 y, otro elemento que el autor quiere significar es el repunte de los Astros que ya están en el tercer lugar de su división.
Tadej Pogascar da un golpe de autoridad en Giro de Italia
Este sábado se corrió la prueba más exigente dentro del Giro de Italia. Fue la etapa número 15, de las 21 que tiene el giro, sobre una distancia de 222 kilómetros. El esloveno dio un golpe de autoridad al ganar la etapa y salvo que ocurra una situación extrema que lo aparte de la competencia es el campeón del Giro de Italia.

Esta es la primera entrega de este proyecto que me tiene enamorado.
Es cierto que no es novedoso ni es inventiva mía, pero me permitirá abordar más de una noticia deportiva sin que me quede la insatisfacción de dejar otras sin tratarla.
Es una sección que estaba pensada para los Juegos Olímpicos, pero, en esa ocasión, la sección será diaria y esta, que tendrá frecuencia semanal, me sirve de entrenamiento para el mes de julio, cuando comience el principal evento deportivo del año.
