Returning to the normal.

Life goes on, as they say, and we are now back home after our midweek break. Already checked on the geese babies and also at the strawberry farm. This post is to show you the beauty that we regard as normal.
Come and let's drop in at another farm.

We often visit at the Vergelegen Wine Estate, as it has the best view of the mountain range. It is a very big farm and also a premium wine producer.

This was my first view of a cloud drifting east towards the mountains.

And here, the cloud started to appear on the mountains. Obviously, the wind behind the mountains blew in an opposite direction, and it started to stretch the cloud.

This is the road that we always use to start our walk for a clearer sight of the mountain range. At the far end of the road we turn towards the left, and about 200 yards is a bench on which we can sit.

This is the view from the bench.

Sprayers were run, as planting of the flowers was done and now they irrigate it with the sprayers.

So great to see how the pair of Egyptian Geese enjoyed a cool off when the water of the spray turns in their direction.

Finally, it was a very hot day and sprayers were going everywhere.

It's so great to see how the farms are cared for, and it must cost quite a bit. But then, hundreds of tourists visit here to see, not only the wine production lines, but also to take a tour of the farm. A smart safari vehicle can be booked and the tour will go out to several destinations on the farm. The first time when we could afford to go on a tour, we saw the wine cellar and then we moved on to see a conservation area where animals, such as Bontebok, Eland, Quagga, and others are cared for.

Should you plan a visit to South Africa, then include this farm in the Western Cape Province on your bucket list, as you will surely enjoy the friendly staff and the sights. Have a look at the source link below.

Founded on 1 February 1700, Vergelegen (meaning “situated far away”), has been under the ownership of some of the world’s great explorers and visionaries, each of whom, in their own way, have helped shape Vergelegen to what it is today: a world-class Estate.

If you book a tour on a farm where I have grown up you could go by foot and be back within half an hour ... cows and sheep would be all animals you might see 😆
Great views of a beautiful landscape, and so clean - you can clearly see that the people love their home.

Shame yes, it would take a good couple of hours to walk across this farm, and in the link on the post I think that they mention the size of the farm. It was even bigger long ago, before they split it up into 3 separate farms. Much to see my friend and I am sad that you can only see cows and sheep.
But have heart, as when you visit, I will show you much more 😳

They take great pride in their work on that wine estate, and cleanliness is a priority.

Thank you for the visit and all blessings to you.

... cows and sheep, but sometimes ducks and chicken too ... I mean chicken and not chicks 😜 !LOLZ

I'm wishing you a wonderful Wednesday, my friend 🌞

Sh*t Power cuts 👎

My past two days have been very lazy, as said in the other reply, but I hope today is better 😊

It is very happy to go to such beautiful places and see all these natural sights and when there are clouds in the sky and blue sky is also visible, things are very beautiful. It relaxes

I do agree with you, as we have a sense of freedom in nature and the hot sun lights up all of the sights. A blue sky with clouds just enhances the views. Very relaxing.

Do you live there? OMG what a beautiful place!! I love that bright green of the grass, and the super clean sky! The farm is quite pretty and I guess it’s a very calm place where to stay. I’ll definitely add it to my future places to visit!

Yes, we live in the town here and there are many farms around that are all beautiful. The colors of the grass and the sky always result in lovely images.
It is so great to be out there, as it is indeed very calm and the care that they take of nature uplifts one's soul. You will definitely not regret a visit here. !LOLZ

It's easy to see why you love where you hang your hat. Every time you take us along with you on one of your excursions I am mesmerised by the beauty.

Thank you, and we are happy here at the extreme southern tip of the African continent. There are also beautiful views far up north in the country, but it feels so right for us to have moved down here. I will spend the winter period of my life here, and methinks that the Lord would say that it is in fact my golden years. Still so much to explore and you guys are welcome to travel with us in spirit.
