Hello everyone! I already told you about Durango in my last post. Today I would like to introduce you to three more highlights of the city. I'm talking about Durango's three most famous museums, all of which are located in the city center and can be visited for less than 100 pesos. Just read on if you want to know how we liked our museum tour.
Hallo zusammen! Im letzten Beitrag habe ich euch bereits von Durango erzählt. Heute möchte ich euch drei weitere Highlights der Stadt vorstellen. Ich spreche von den drei berühmtesten Museen von Durango, die man alle im Stadtzentrum findet und die man alle zusammen für weniger als 100 Pesos besuchen kann. Lest einfach weiter, wenn ihr wissen wollt, wie uns unsere Mueseumstour gefallen hat.
Our first stop was the Francisco Villa Museum, which ranks first among all the sights in Durango on Trip Advisor. We realized why this is the case as soon as we entered the impressive, artistically designed inner courtyard of the building. We could hardly believe it when the entrance fee of 25 pesos (just over one euro) per person was revealed to us.
Unser erster Stop war das Francisco Villa Museum, das bei Trip Advisor den ersten Platz unter allen Sehenswürdigkeiten von Durango belegt. Warum dies der Fall ist, wurde uns bereits klar, als wir den beeindruckenden, kunstvoll gestalteten Innenhof des Gebäudes betraten. Wir konnten es kaum glauben, als uns der Eintrittspreis von nun 25 Pesos (etwas über einem Euro) pro Person offenbart wurde.
The Museo Francisco Villa, also known as the Pancho Villa Museum, is housed in a historic building that was once the home of the famous revolutionary leader Pancho Villa. The museum is dedicated to the life and legacy of Villa and features a variety of exhibits, including personal items, documents and photographs that offer insight into his role in the Mexican Revolution. Through interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations, the museum gave us a vivid picture of this important historical figure and his time.
Das Museo Francisco Villa, auch bekannt als das Pancho Villa Museum ist in einem historischen Gebäude untergebracht, das einst das Zuhause des berühmten Revolutionsführers Pancho Villa war. Das Museum widmet sich dem Leben und Erbe von Villa und zeigt eine Vielzahl von Exponaten, darunter persönliche Gegenstände, Dokumente und Fotografien, die Einblicke in seine Rolle in der Mexikanischen Revolution bieten. Durch interaktive Ausstellungen und multimediale Präsentationen vermittelte uns das Museum ein lebendiges Bild dieser bedeutenden historischen Figur und seiner Zeit.
The second museum on our tour was just a few steps away and greeted us with a similarly impressive courtyard. The Museo de la Ciudad was the cheapest of the three museums. Believe it or not, we only paid nine pesos (50 cents) per person to enter.
Das zweite Muesum auf unserer Tour lag nur wenige Schritte entfernt und begrüßte uns mit einem ähnlich imposanten Innenhof. Beim Museo de la Ciudad handelte sich um das günstigste der drei Museen. Ob ihr es glaubt oder nicht, aber hier bezahlten wir nur neun Pesos (50 Cent) Eintritt pro Person.
This cultural and historical museum presents the rich history and cultural heritage of the city and its surroundings. It is housed in an impressive colonial building that is itself an architectural gem. The exhibitions include artifacts, photographs and documents that trace the development of the city from its foundation to the present day. We gained insights into various aspects of urban life, significant historical events and the cultural traditions of the region. The museum serves as an important educational center and meeting place for history buffs and regularly hosts special exhibitions and cultural events. Here we were also able to see real scorpions and learn more about why this animal is so symbolic for Durango.
Dieses kulturhistorische Museum präsentiert das die reiche Geschichte und das kulturelle Erbe der Stadt und ihrer Umgebung. Es befindet sich in einem beeindruckenden Kolonialgebäude, das selbst ein architektonisches Juwel ist. Die Ausstellungen umfassen Artefakte, Fotografien und Dokumente, die die Entwicklung der Stadt von ihrer Gründung bis zur Gegenwart nachzeichnen. Wir bekamen Einblicke in verschiedene Aspekte des städtischen Lebens, bedeutende historische Ereignisse und die kulturellen Traditionen der Region. Das Museum dient als wichtiges Bildungszentrum und Treffpunkt für Geschichtsinteressierte und bietet regelmäßig Sonderausstellungen und kulturelle Veranstaltungen. Hier konnten wir auch echte Skorpione sehen und mehr darüber erfahren, warum dieses Tier so symbolträchtig für Durango ist.
The last museum on our tour is located below the surface. The Museo Túnel de Minería (60 Pesos entrance fee per person) is dedicated to the rich mining history of the region. The museum is housed in a real historic mine shaft, which gave us an authentic experience. Through interactive exhibits and vivid displays, we learned more about the techniques and tools used in mining, as well as the hard life of the miners. The Museo Túnel de Minería sheds light on the economic and cultural importance of mining for Durango while offering an exciting journey underground that combines history and adventure. Das letzte Muesum auf unserer Tour befindet sich unter der Erdoberfläche. Das Museo Túnel de Minería (Eintritt 60 Pesos/Person) widmet sich der reichen Bergbaugeschichte der Region. Das Museum ist in einem echten historischen Minenschacht untergebracht, was uns eine authentische Erfahrung bot. Durch interaktive Ausstellungen und anschauliche Darstellungen erfuhren wir mehr über die Techniken und Werkzeuge, die im Bergbau verwendet wurden, sowie über das harte Leben der Minenarbeiter. Das Museo Túnel de Minería beleuchtet die wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Bedeutung des Bergbaus für Durango und bietet gleichzeitig eine spannende Reise unter die Erde, die Geschichte und Abenteuer vereint.
