I had cereal for breakfast for the first time in almost 3 years! Nothing too terrible though, nothing like I used to eat back in the day when I could eat cereal 3 times a day. My favourite cereal in those days was Kellogs Crunchy Nut. I don't know who invented that stuff, but it's lethal while being so delicious. I could eat that three times a day, and I sometimes did :). Thankfully it was in the days when I was quite athletic and active, and burnt off most of the excess sugar flowing through my blood. Who knows, I would have become diabetic otherwise.

I had Shredded Wheat, mixed with some organic granola. I added no sugar, and I used almond milk. I have to admit, it tasted really good. The granola probably had some honey in it, or maybe it was the almond milk, so it tasted a little sweet. Perhaps it's because I don't eat any sugar at all, so I notice the slightest sweet taste. Most people would probably have found the mix a little bland I guess.
I had run out of eggs, and they didn't have any at my local shop, so I found the granola and cereal at the back of my cupboard where they'd been sitting for months. My parents ate them when they were visiting. Thankfully they still hand another year or so to expiry.

That's another thing. Any food that can keep that long before going bad is probably not that good for you. I won't be returning to cereal, but I guess once in a while - like once or twice a month, isn't that bad. God knows, it probably has some nutrients that my body needs and has been lacking since going off cereal. Everything in moderation.
Peace & Love,
Adé
That coffee looks nice, Is it from your little machine?
I suppose if you have to eat industrial food, shredded wheat is on the less damaging end of things. When did they start making them bite-size?
Yes that's from the coffee machine. The crema looks like that because the coffee hits the side of the cup and flows outwards in that flowery shape :)
Wow, it must have been a long time since you had Shredded Wheat haha. That's from their "Keeps hunger locked up till lunch" campaign from decades ago haha. It's supposed to be shaped like a cage.
I was trying to remember when I last had Shredded Wheat ... I think maybe not since I left home 😂
I quit eating all grains - I'm celiac, so wheat was out a long time ago - but rice, corn, etc. are gone from My diet for a year or so. As well as legumes and beans and such. I feel MUCH better having ceased that. But I do drink the unhomogenized milk We have here. It's pasteurized, sadly - nearest place to get raw milk is like 50 miles away and I do not have the money for both gas and the milk.
Keep up avoiding the grains. It will pay off in the long run!
Yeah grains are terrible. Gluten is terrible for everybody, just that Celiacs are the most affected. I have family members that have celiac and it's just nice at all. We're not supposed to eat as much (especially refined) grains as we eat in this day and age.
Meats, fish, nuts, dairy, eggs, fruits now and then. That is what I eat. Occasionally I will add honey - but unfiltered and raw. No processed honey!
Do not insult honey and dried fruit like this!
Fair enough. 😅
