I don't often get the chance.
What you are looking at is the food of my child hood. Mash.
In this case, Red cabbage Mash with meat boulders, gravy and apple sauce.
The apple sauce has to be the cheapest one, without chunks.
It's the best.
My brother and I used to go trough a jar a day growing up.
I love this food.

Try to enjoy your alone time @exyle. @vermillionfox and I have gotten much more dependent on one another's company over the years and because I have to travel so much for my job, it's gotten tough when I have to be away from her and @guthrie.

All lovers need some time away from each other, so when they come back it's gonna be pure fireworks. BTW the food looks delicious with all that apple sauce. I know you enjoyed it thoroughly. Argentina is one less problem Brazil has to think about. Beer and shocking football results feel amazing :)

It is always a good time to taste a beer, those things happen when you find your better half, couples miss each other, the same thing happens to us. I am with my wife since I was 18, now I am 50 years old, imagine.

My father spoke 7 languages. Dinner was always interesting...it would start out in on language and go through several before the end of the meal. Yes my father spoke quite a bit of Dutch to us when I was growing up. I spend 2 months living there in 1972. I have lost a lot of it now because I now speak mostly Spanish.

That is a really interesting combination. It's awesome to see something so traditional for one culture that seems so foreign to others. Hope you had a good time while she was gone. As nice as it is to have a little space sometimes, I am pretty attached to my wife and I miss her dearly when she is gone as well.
