People seem to be surprised about vibrating concrete. Basically you arange the sand and stones in the cement more neatly making it more compact.

Lots of air bubbles so you need to vibrate it to make sure there are no trapped air pockets.
what is that made of? i was thinking.. what about melted plastic, soda cans, or whatever? think that would make a good brick?
It's a Concrete brick.
I've seen melted plastic bricks but gigantic fire hazard. Adobe bricks or earth bag homes seem like a decent idea
I recall being shocked once at a $1500 expense for a vibrator listed amongst deductions for a forming company, being unaware of the need to vibrate concrete and thinking the business owner was both both very dedicated to his personal life, and brash for trying to deduct the cost of personal items as a business expense. Of course, there are entertainment costs to doing business, but I didn't want to think of him that way.
