To be honest, I would not like to be on the top20 (as of now). Lots of responsibility and its not my target as a witness and I also don't have what is "my own standard" to be there. If required I would be able, obviously and would do anything in my power to protect the chain. 😎 but no thanks - top20 witnesses do way more than most people think.

If the APR on holding HBD in staked form (that provides currently 14% APR) is lowered too much, for example, 10%, then people "might" look for other better forms of APR, and because currently curating (voting with your staked HIVE) that now might be around 7 to 8% APR (this depends on a lot of things, per account), plus the base APR from the staked HIVE, which is currently around 4.31% this would potentially make people sell their HBD to buy HIVE, stake it, and then curate content for a better APR (which in this case would be around 12%).
It might also invite people to just sell off... but that might be very isolated cases.
Most people would not be looking at doing these things. But this is a situation to consider among witnesses because of the big holders.
Let's see what's gonna happen later.

En realidad la palabra "inflación" no es la correcta para describir esto que está pasando con el precio de Hive. La descripción correcta sería "money supply" o suministro de monedas. Si bien se espera reducir dicho suministro, hay que ofrecer algo de interés a los inversores.
No es reducir el suministro, es reducir el porcentaje de inflación.
El mismo Blocktrades habló hace poco en una entrevista que "inflación" es un término erróneo para lo que está sucediendo con el precio de Hive. Eso causa confusión a las personas, por eso el término correcto es "money supply".
Tampoco estoy de acuerdo. El suministro actual es causado por la inflación.
Si te fijas, la razón por la cual la gente cambia sus HIVE por HBD es por el APR del 15% que da en Staking. Muy distinto a HIVE que tiene un mínimo de APR del 4% ahora mismo. Para reducir esta gran diferencia, habrá que: 1) reducir el APR de HBD o 2) aumentar el APR de HIVE.
Ya el staking del Hive existe, ahora mismo está entre el 4 al 14%%.
Lo sé, el Staking de Hive es el HP. Igual, con el APR a ese porcentaje aún sigue siendo mucha la diferencia con el APR de HBD que es de 14% ahora mismo. Imagínate, en cuanto al HP, para recibir ese 14% tienes que ser muy activo votando y curando contenido, cosa que no está mal. Pero en cuanto al HBD, sin tener que hacer nada generas un 14%, lo cual es lo que más les conviene a los inversores y los que buscan ahorrar a mediano y largo plazo. En vez de hacer Power Up's, la gente prefiere cambiar sus HIVE por HBD para así no perder su dinero por la caída del precio.
Si se redujera un poco más el APR de HBD en Staking pude ser, tal vez, que El precio de Hive suba al ver los inversores que les conviene más comprar y Stakear HIVE. A los inversores no les interesa el tema de la curación o lo que se haga dentro del ecosistema, solo les interesan los beneficios que les otorga la moneda que piensan comprar.

No, it can be any word, but you get told if you have any of the right letters and if they are in the right position. There are versions of the game in other languages.
