Hello, dear friends.

Today I have the joy of sharing with you some photographs I took last weekend. This makes me very happy because it is very difficult for me to find mushrooms and I consider them very beautiful. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this large trunk full of them. During December it was raining frequently and the people who live around here think that these mushrooms are growing here because of this.

I was lucky enough to have my camera with me when I found them and so I was able to take all these pictures. It was a sunny afternoon as you can see but nothing stopped me, I needed to frame everything I could reach since I don't know if I will see them again due to the change of season.

After editing the pictures I did some research with the Google lens to get an idea of what types of mushrooms I found. According to the results obtained it seems that there are Antrodia, False Turky Tail, Splitgill mushroom, and Daedalea quercina mushrooms.

I could also observe a kind of large dark brown caps on the trunk, I assume that these are also more fungi that are growing but unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of them. I hope to return and that they are still all there.

I have told people to try to keep watering them so that maybe they can develop better and not disappear. I am not at all an expert in this but I understand that they require moisture to live. The mushrooms were scattered all over the trunk, both in the shady places and in those that receive direct sunlight.

All the pictures were shot by me using a Nikon camera, under each image I added the Exif data.

Hello, dear friends.

some of the photos are quite nice, I like it. spectacular textures.

are they really shot with d/5.6? seems strange, the defth of field is not that much, more looking like d/3.2 or less..

cheers!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your words.

Yes, that was the aperture. I share with you a screenshot

Cheers!✨

Looks like you have some split gill and possibly some Meripilus giganteus aka giant polypore. The other polypore seems to be a toothed polypore variant of some kind.

Wow!!! Thank you very much for the information. Is the first time I see all of these mushrooms. I'll try to get back soon and hopefully, they'll be more developed.

The tiny split gills are actually edible and can store quite easily since they are usually dried out. Just soak them a while in water and they will rehydrate.

Could you show me which ones, please? I'd like to try and do what you say

These guys known as Schizophyllum commune

Thank you so so much 🙏

Make sure to check the pattern of the gills. They have a distinct pattern hence the name splitgill. Post pictures of the gills here just in case.

mushrooms look so beautiful and cool .... amazingly beautiful and some of these mushrooms that I haven't seen.

What an amazing shot...
