Great report. Full 100% and resteemed :-)
Good to hear that you arrived safe at home :-)

Thank you, Jochen!!! I'm still a bit jetlacked but doing well :-))

That video was dope!

I have always loved River rafting, its just another experience!

Hehe, thank you!!! It would have been cool to have more video material, but I prefered to make pictures and save battery to be able to document the whole trip in detail.
I've never done that before but would love to repeat at any time! :)

And I'll love to see those posts!
You do what you love, you are an inspiration!

Oh that was cute. Thank you!!!
Had a shitty evening so your comment made my day :-))

Steem On!

If you have the chance to go there, book the tour with Hualapai. They are simply amazing!

Very nice details using images and narratives of how everything went. An interesting adventure indeed. Nice one dear...keep it up

It's been actually the first time ever that I've done an article like that. When I went over the pictures I thought: I will explain all of them, because there is soooo much background info I should share with these people :-))

Starting from tomorrow I will vote for all the posts I've missed in the meantime.

Nice! Beautiful scenery. Which state were you in on this trip? Utah?
I'm about to write a post: day in the life of a white water raft guide :) (Because that's one of my side jobs actually: taking people down the river!)

Oh really??? Wow! That is so cool! Then you have the best job in the world!!!
We were in Arizona. If you put "Hualapai Lodge" into Google you will find our starting point :)

Yes... I do have the best job in the world! I feel like that for about three days out of the week, and then I start to get tired of dealing with people. That's why this year I decided to do it three days a week! :)
That's rad! I will look that up :)

You have rally done a grt job. And the 12 hrs sleep was necessary to shape the happiness of your last days.. i too love travelling and i get excited whenever i see travel blog. Your story is awesome. I learnt how to write here.. thanks

Oh what a kind reply, thank you! :)
I'm really happy you enjoyed the article that way.
You've got a new follower now :)

Oh man! That's a trip for sure. You'll have to come again and do this backpacking hike with the Havasupai Indians. This tropical paradise in the Grand Canyon is one for the history books. I did this 2 years ago. It's a grueling hike, but you have the option of riding in and out via helicopter, or have your pack taken in/out by pack horses/mules. Anyone wanting to do Havasupai won't be disappointed, just reserve your spot early enough. Thanks for sharing @surfermarly!

You must be kidding!!! That looks AMAZING.
Now I have one more reason to come back soon :-))
@knircky I put that on our list, hihi

No kidding! Check out more pictures online of this place. You'll be amazed when you go! I can't wait to plan another trip down there. The water temperatures are amazing as well. Good luck on the planning!

You won't believe it, but I was there at an age of 5! Haha!
My mom was reading this article and the comments respectively and then she sent me pictures of little Marly hiking down the Canyon towards this epic water fall. Incredible! Haha!

That is so amazing! I'm laughing deep within myself. Hahahahahahaha.......oh wow! If we could only remember everything when we were 5 years old. You still need to go back now that you are older. :)

Awesome sum-up and so true!!!

Here we go - an insight into Marly's family album :-)

Little Marly hiking down the Grand Canyon - haha!

Oh the synchronicity of life! Such precious gems, these pics are. The terrain changed quite a bit about 3 years ago. They had massive flooding and from what I gathered the canyon had some additional very beautiful areas before the falls, but that was wiped out by the flash flooding. Luckily the lower falls have remained intact. Thanks for sharing these! Only on @steemit could this happen. LOL :)

thank you for your article 😀 😀😀
we are new on the platform and will be blogging about health and fitness please follow us @healthlovetravel

Excellent! I love your Instagram account! Following you there and here on steemit 😉 Keep it coming!

Haha - this looks like sooooooo much fun :)
I did a bit of white water rafting a few years back on the Orange River in South Africa - your trip seems a lot more exciting and action packed though :)
Thanks for sharing with us :)

Well there are a lot of different action levels depending on where and with which organization you do the trip.
Thanks for stopping by, I'm happy you enjoyed the post :-))
South Africa is btw on my list "places I wanna visit soon", hehe.

WOW what an amazing experience and thanks for sharing it with this detailed and descriptive post, was like being there, without having to deal with the icy cold water LOL

Hahaha, lucky you! Dealing with that water was quite a job :-))
I'm happy you enjoyed the read, thanks for commenting!

What an adventure!
The temperature shock you talked about reminds me of when my sister and I would get in the jacuzzi during the winter and then run and jump in the pool. Lol!
You got some great shots! Looks like you had fun, and man, you are brave! 😊

Haha, well actually these temperature shocks are super healthy. They strengthen the immune system considerably. So all good :-))
And yes we had a blast! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment :-)

Sounds like an awesome adventure. Yow! That is some extremely cold water and hot weather! Great photos with amazing scenery. Thank you for sharing them with us!

You are more than welcome! It's been my pleasure to share these "extreme" moments with you :)
It was definitely one of my best trips so far, probably the very best.

We're going for rafting Jul 21st on South fork of American river - El Dorado county, California.

We with my friends usually do this every summer. we had a watery winter and I hope it would be more water now than it was in the last year.

If water was a cold? I can imagine it should be cooler in Colorado than it in California now.

Oh that sounds nice! Enjoy the trip!!!
I have no idea how cold the water might be in California. But I learned that it's always frozen in the Colorado River since it comes from the highest points of the Canyon.

usually we do our trip in the second half of July and water was around 60... for me spending 6-10 hours in 60F is a really cold conditions

It looks like you were having great fun!
That hair flick looks pretty cool haha
I can't wait for more of your amazing photographs and adventures.

Thank you @arckrai!! I've aproximately 1,000 more pictures from my trip to publish :D
PS: No idea what a "hair flick" is, but thanks anyways, haha!

How dangerous is it to jump off the 20 ft height to the water?? :)

It's not dangerous at all. It's all about the adrenaline kick generated by the height ;-) Standing on the edge it seems much higher that it actually is... Falling down seemed to be eternal to me even though it was less than one second :) Can't wait to do that again!!

That looks amazing! I've never been to the Grand Canyon, but I hope to someday. Awesome post!

I'd definitely recommend that!
Thanks for your kind feedback :-))

Looks like a blast! I'll follow you for more in the future!

It was!! Thank you, I hope I'll be able to meet your expectations :-))

Awesome pics and Story!! I wish I cold have been there with you. You must be the luckiest angel on earth!

Oh thanks for your lovely words. I'm definitely one of these angels, yeah :)

Einfach herrlich. Es kommt mir so vor, als wäre ich echt dabei gewesen!

Hehe, das freut mich!

Thank God for journey mercy, you really catch all the fun you need, you took so many quality picture and take the pain in explaining each of the point. Weldon good job.

There was no pain...:) I fully enjoyed every second of it - and documenting the trip was part of the fun though.
I'm glad you enjoyed it that way! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!

Maybe you next stoty will take place in Poland?:)

Great post...Nice work.. @sufermarly

Thank you very much! I'm happy you enjoyed it. There are a lot more to come, I made more than 1,000 pictures during the whole trip :-))

We will definitely do that again! :-)

Great footage!! Was that water freezing @surfermarly? I could only imagine....That is neat that they have outboard motors attached to them so you don't even need an ore lol.

Yip, the water was extremely cold!
No paddling that time, yip :D

Just amazing

Don't jump @surfermarly! All you've lost at pokergame can be gained on Steemit again! 😉

My loss is already covered thanks to this AMAZING platform called steemit. No limits!
That could be a marketing claim: "Lost a fortune at the poker table? No problem." :-D

Upped Followed :) keep it up ill be waiting for your post :)

Haha, sweet! :-) Thank you!
Followed back. Like your blog!

This is a strong rest. I want too

Nice to meet you!
Follow you)

You are awesome! Your subjects fully meet my interests. Check my blog out if you like, trying to build it up :-)

Followed. Why were you away for 6 months?

that is a lof fun

This is so cool! you are a livin' it up like a rockstar! looking forward to more!

Haha, almost! :-D
But I still don't have a PA who takes care of my calls and stuff. Definitely need to earn more steem to hire somebody, haha!

I'm with you here! It's really hard these days! I can't keep up with the comments anymore! :(

Haha, that's a luxury problem :-)) Me neither. And my vote power is below 50!!!

I'm maintaining over 90% by being frugal but I do vote a fair amount throughout the day and pretty much every comment on my posts. You need to get posts early and this way you can do a lot more with lower weights on smaller posts and lower still or no votes for the daily trending list and therefore retain higher VP for people/friends/posts you really want to give a good bump. :) I checked your curation rewards just now and think you can certainly do better once you are back home after your travels and have time to focus on better curation. Vote at lower weights for a 4-5 days and you should see the VP go back over 80% and stay there inspite of daily curation.

Thanks my friend!!! I totally missed this one. Great advices here.
I'll consider them once I'll be back on steemit in a couple of months.
Big hugs and keep the good stuff comin :-)

:) Good to know that Marly!

Hugs

The video is the shortest I've ever done but probably one of the most emotional ones... That jump will be stored in my memory forever and ever...;-)

very inspiring post, this makes me want to go river rafting! quality post

Cool! I definitely recommend to do that at least once in a lifetime :-)

Not sure the cameraman is really that happy @surfermarly - looks like a cam rollercoaster Trip @knircky

It was a quite tough job out there, Uwe! :-)
No doubt about that...
