What is an AMA?
AMA is a format popular on Reddit where one person offers to answer questions for a limited period of time.
How long will I answer questions?
I will usually answer them pretty quickly, and I should be around for a few hours. I will continue to answer them as they come in. I am going to hop out in a few hours to go see Violent Santa but will be back to answering questions after.

Not sure it has really. Technically it has, as there has been some changes but outside of that, it's fairly similar. I think the biggest change has been the lack of @freedom's vote heavily swaying the top 20.

Firstly, in your list of links, you've linked 22 as April instead of March.
Secondly, do you invest in other things as well as crypto? If stocks are included, do you prefer ETFs or to pick your own?
I did. I do this on purpose. After posting a new AMA, I immediately add the link to the list so next time I use it already has it. I also add it to my curated collection, but I can't seem to get that feature to work right now, so I will need to do that later. I like to do it now so I don't forget. Dave Allen's getting things done mentality, if it takes less than 2 minutes, just do it now.
Yes, quite a bit. I have a call every morning M-F I am on for a few hours with other traders. I typically trade what I know (tech) but not exclusively. I have been moving more and more to stock market.
I mostly trade specific stocks and options, but I do hold/buy some ETFs like VOO as a percentage of my portfolio with very low expense ratio.

For hive to be in the top 100 cryptos. What 3 things do you think holds Hive back the most. (Obviously more people buying it, but i mean the top 3 things that keep people from buying it) if you have more than 3 things…happy to hear those too.

That's the $10M question. I suspect more interesting dapps rather than another post about flowers or what someone ate yesterday. Some form of marketing would help get exposure but is largely unsustainable using traditional good year blimp marketing. More users fixes most of our problems.
Yes it is the 10mil question. And im asking a version of this question a lot. It certainly not just 1 thing. More interesting dapps is a good call, even just 1 interesting dapp that gains attention could aide a lot. Many new users feel lost when arriving, no idea what to do, where to go, how to even look… a dapp that could resolve arriving users to find some sense of home/comfort would help a lot.
Marketing seems key, but hive needs a big fat gorilla style. Middle finger style marketing.
I’d like to see an effort toward a hive use case for teens, virality tends to happen more effectively under the 25 year old age bracket. Many active users of hive seem above 30 generally. Which is fine, but a corner for the youngins seems important.
What do you think would be highest Hive potential price after five more years?

Any plan on Punks or STEM project or we should consider them as dead ?
They both are fully functional and still do everything that they were designed to do. The market however is pretty dead, like most Hive Engine projects.
I was planning on making a game or two with punks, but for various reasons, I never did. I also planned on collaborations with it, but they never happened (outside of a small one with Rising Star game). Punks was a proof of concept to show what can be done and hasn't been done before.
As for STEM, the scotbot system on Hive Engine is in such bad shape, I can't see building anything with it. Most tribes are on Hive are dead. I can't justify the time to build an entire caching front end like LEO as there is no demand just to have a usable front end. LEO has the unique advantage in that everything that do is on topic. STEM users don't care about liquidity pools, farm tokens, Defi, and all that shit.
I think, you can definitely build some niche projects with both of them, given the technical expertise you have, as well as the stake that you can use for rewarding people and make them shine. Hope you may reconsider to not only survive them but make one of the best projects.

Why only burn posts? Do you think that is best for Hive or is it because curating is more time consuming?
It’s where I believe my share of inflation does the most good. It’s an attempt to counter the waste and sell pressure from the DHF.

We don't really do anything right now. The previous marketing proposal onboarded 67 people who had less than 1 hive combined between all of them, all of which was gained from memo spam.
I don't know of any, most of the $3M+/year in DHF isn't remotely related to onboarding, just like our "Hivefeast" isn't for new users either.
To some extent maybe, but not even remotely our biggest.
Yes, for example smart contracts was a big deal 10 years ago, now it is just expected and we still don't have them.
Thanks - good answers - in marketing I agree to a certain extent (given i do this professionally I have different opinions would could be done and what should be skipped) - DHF proposals I stay away to comment - some focus indeed is going into the wrong direction in my POV especially I do not not see the added value for Hive what is supported with "money" just saying Hive car as an example.
Think we too often talk about marketing where we need more PR - think we have enough PR stories to tell in general, isse how to make media pick them up, I mean mainstrwm (not blockchain media, they only want money - and this is no PR anymore)
Indded - even a guy called Ned Scott spoke about this ages ago in certain secret chats that we were close to immediate launch of smart contracts (7 years ago?).
Although you did not put as an option philosophy or humanities, my question goes in this direction. Beyond all the technological stuff that blockchain implies, I have come to think that we are facing a paradigm shift that will transcend the virtual so I ask you:
Do you think it is necessary to explore blockchain from perspectives such as philosophy, anthropology or sociology just to mention some humanistic disciplines?
Necessary? No, but it's one approach. The water bore holes went in that direction.
I understand you, although my approach is a little more theoretical, I understand that the water lees is along the lines of social impact. I hope I understand, for example, one of the aspects where the blockchian prints a factor of change is the democratization of the distribution of wealth, and in front of the status quo it implies more than a proposal, socially it is a problem and that makes me wonder:

Right now, I don't have an answer, I confess I find myself researching and reading some currents of thought and approaches such as that of the South Korean philosopher Byung Chul Han. Right now I am reading for the second time his text: INFOCRACY as he dissects about digitalization and the crisis of democracy.
I have said many times, Hive is the easiest way to make money online anywhere. It's not even remotely close. You can get 1M views on Facebook/Twitter and not make a cent, yet you can get 4 views on Hive and make $100 at times.
Not sure people fully understand it.

What exactly happens to the rewards pool regarding downvotes?
Do downvotes make less Hive be distributed in total? Or is it just relocated to other posts that did not receive downvotes?
It acts as if those votes never existed, so other posts gain a large portion of the reward pool.
As a first time participant in your AMAs & recent first time interaction, I suppose I'd just like to learn a bit about yourself & the journey that led you to this point in time to start 😊 What was your original motivator for entering the Blockchain/Crypto Revolution & how long has it been now since then? What attracted you to build your nest on Hive over other Blockchains & what tends to keep you committed here the most these days... or do you operate multi-chains/Hive not being your primary nest? Also, please give Oreo my thanks for assisting you with your answers 😻 Couple years back my little orange kit-cat, Xander, passed away at 3 years old which was extremely devastating & had me in a spiraling depression for the last 2 years or so since he was my little soul-buddy. I watch both of them, but I probably would say I prefer Last of Us, but I do love Black Mirror, but it is very hit or miss, some episodes are great, some are just meh.
This last temp was SO MUCH better than the previous 2, with the last of us, last season, the filler eps were good this time around, I don't know, last ep was boring.
