About nine Fourth of Julys ago, my husband and I decided to take out our canoe. So we drove down the street to the dock and got our canoe off the rooftop of our car before realizing we had forgotten our life preservers. It's illegal in Florida to canoe without life preservers. We resolved that rather than put the canoe back on the roof of the car and drive back home to pick up the life preservers
we would stay in the shallow water .
We were minding our business, enjoying the lovely Florida summer day, tooling around in about two feet deep water.
When suddenly we were approached by boat police.
They coldly and smugly informed us that we could not be in the water without life preservers and told us they would escort us back to the dock. And these motherfuckers followed us on their speed boat at about 2 miles per hour for about 45 minutes until we reached the dock.
I watched as they approached people IN THEIR OWN YARDS who lived along the water. I was absolutely astounded at the audacity of these people. When we arrived at the dock, the miscreants swiftly wrote us a ticket.
I. Was. Seething.
The feeling I had was akin to being stolen from- that feeling of being violated. I was powerless. This was my goddamn life. I can do whatever I want with my body. I can cut it up and scrape it and put things into it, and even kill it if I want to.
Who in the hell did these people think they were asserting ownership over my own body?
Now, the next thing that was absolutely terrifying to me was how my relatives reacted when I told them how beyond raging I was about this situation. They were beside themselves that I would put myself in danger of being on my canoe without life preservers and implored me to see the good of the cops who were looking out for my best interest. These laws, they explained, were for the good of the people. The people must know that they mustn't drive without seat belts and take out their boats without life preservers!!!
I was goddamn lost and wondered how in the fuck I was going to get along in this crazy-ass world of twisted, confused people.
About two years later I found libertarianism. And what a relief to my brain it was!

I also fish in Florida. What really grinds my gears is when Fish & Wildlife floats over to your boat and tells you to start opening up all of your bags and coolers so they can search them.
What we usually do - since we're often in a small boat, like a Gheenoe - is head up into the shallow waters when we see them coming. The draw on those boats is only about three or four inches, so they can't get in there with their twin or triple 150s. Water pigs are the worst and have an even lesser sense of humor than land pigs.
Man, Florida cops are so fucked up. Being a young person there is like being black everywhere else.

"those with no rights to be here should return to their country" Thank You Nicolas Sarkozy. Clearly defining what it means to be a Nation with a Government. If you don't want to export illegals, you should be honest with yourself and admit you don't want a law enforcement agency(Government).
In a "nation" without government (and by extension law), property doesn't exist, which mean to stay on the piece of land where you live, you have to either defend that right yourself (guns/whatever) or move as someone might take it as his own, since... well... he can do that since there is nothing forbidding him to do it.
That's why the archeological record shows many violent death in neolithic (when man first settled to become farmers and subsequently accessed to property...), that was definitely before nation/government/army existed but led to creation of army and government so people can sleep on their 2 ears...)

If you think a Government should exist, I am not opposed to your logic; so long as you also think illegals should be deported or killed.
If you think a Government should not exist, that would mean you are an anarchist. Have fun looking forward to the UN designating a landmass appropriate for people who are not citizens of any nation.

Actually that's called a fallacy: counterattacking or attacking an argument based on your linking of 2 things which have no relationship (government/immigration)
For info where I was getting was "why governments exist"
People who enter into the borders of a defined "government" through processes not approved by that "government" are called many things:
attacker, aggressor, raider, marauder, occupier, conqueror. intruder, interloper
But I like to think of them as expirt infiltrators, I have a lot to learn from.

And, I don't think government will be providing services to people who don't have an SS#.
I still don't know what your "argument" is, so I don't know what I am counterattacking or attacking?
I will also note that people cannot illegally immigrate from one "government" to another if no "governments" exist. If a "government" has no migration laws can we really call it a "government". I don't think we can do anything about that relationship.
