A Rallying Call to Arms; Stand Up, and Stand Together!

I worship no flag but gladly carry the banner of liberty.

Will you stand with me? Steemit is a battleground much like the rest of our world. We are here to fight. Our fight has purpose, and no purpose is furthered without sacrifice. When, in the past, I have often written that liberty is worth any price, I meant it.

If we do not stand and fight, our enemies will drive us back. If we do not rally to the banners that represent our cause, we will lose ground to those who resist us. This is not a social network. It is a battleground. What you do here matters.

What you do here matters more than you could ever imagine.

It matters because every post either enlightens the world with truth or darkens it with ignorance. We either further the truth or further hide it. As I have often said, "When someone suggests keeping the truth a secret, they usually want to maintain a lie instead."

I am here to keep no secrets. What am I here for? That is a good question. We should all ask it of ourselves. My goal on Steemit is the same goal I have had online for many years now. That goal is to further individual liberty regardless of my personal cost.

Stop playing or watching the part of a hero, and be one instead.

You can search for my name to know almost everything about me. Google makes that a simple task. What you see may define me on the surface, but it does not explain my motivations. Shared motivations equal loyalty. If you share the same motivations, you are friends--already met or not.

I have found many friends here on Steemit, and I know there are many more to be found. That is why this post is being written. Our burden is often a heavy one, and no war is won without loyal and trusted allies. Where are my allies? Stand up and stand with me!

"Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more."

@finnian Thanks for sharing, we (who are aware of the battlefield) are a passionate minority aren't we?

This is not a social network. It is a battleground. What you do here matters.

The Ruling Class Called It A Silent War

And it is a perpetual war that has lasted for many generations and cycled through the ages.
If only the majority of "steemians" knew this and acted on this knowledge...

Yes, definitely! I am thankful to be here among so many friends too.

The system of politics and media have colluded to generate division within our society, our Iives, and throughout the world. Many are unaware that their "enemy" is an illusion; their masters are the enemy. Society fears the repercussions of 'biting the hand that feeds', but does not realize that society is the feeding hand - we are the sustanence, we are the control. If people would realize that, we wouldn't be chaining ourselves down willfully. Complex problems sometimes have a simple solution. Don't accept hopelessness. Hopelessness gives strength to the opposition.

I'm with you all that choose to remain standing.

Divide and conquer is such an old tactic but continues to work very well. If it isn't ethnic background, it is unequal wealth. It's always something to make people envy and hate others. While they are busy doing those things, they are easily controlled.

The main question I keep going back to though in my mind is how we, who do not want to be ruled, find a way to coexist with a vast majority of people who do want to be ruled. Will the majority of people ever awaken enough to be on our side? Human history makes me doubt that it will ever happen.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend"
Though unable to relate, we can cooperate. We must find a way to some sort of common ground. Unfortuantely it would take discomfort for all of us to realize any immediate 'need' for action. A passive herd we've become. Relinquishing all control for the illusion of comfort & safety - neither of which can be 'given' because it is a derivative of action. It must be taken because it cannot be given away.

It's hard to say if we, collectively, will want control of our own lives. Society offers us so much, the easy way. How long with the human race work tirelessly for debased paper currency and their diminishing individuality? Hard to say..

Queue up the Carlin quotes...

The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend. I've always hated that saying. haha

They are my ally. Sure, they could be my friend too, but friends have the exact same objectives and are on the same path in life. :)

My main concern is that people who want to be ruled are forcing their rulers on people who do not want to be ruled.

This is one reason I'm looking to leave the USA for a place where the government leaves me alone as long as I do no harm to others or their property.

That's no longer possible here.

Ancient proverbs are so yesterday..lol
They are building a spot on Mars for those truly looking to get out from under the 'rulers of the world'. Only way is go above them. To space. All the governments of the world bow to the same king - money. Is there truly any safe haven? I've often wondered that.

"Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."
H.L. Mencken

I like this quote, never heard it before.

Check out these truths:

You Anarchy guys really do live in a fantasy world of half truths stealing people's time and money selling snake oil cures for what has merely become an unbalanced democratic republic.

Increases in technology and population demand bigger government of the people and by the people. 330 Million People".

yes you are right just supporting heroes and considering your part is done is not enough ... We should rise up and try to be a hero in every little way we can ...

Thanks! Yes, even the definition of hero has been twisted lately. A lot of people have lost the original meaning. It used to mean doing the right thing even when it was difficult and dangerous.

I see lots of people playing the part of a hero in video games or watching the part of a hero in a movie, but they themselves are doing very little to further good in the world. Those things are there as part of the control mechanisms of course. It is part of the circus of bread and circuses.

I totally agree with you. It's easy to just sit back and ignore everything that it's going on. The hard part is doing something.

We are doing something though. :)

Freedom! I plan on running for nc state rep next year for the Libertarian party. I am no statist just trying to bring about the real ideas of voluntaryism and free market solutions to the masses. Wish me dumbfounded luck. Lol. @finnian

You'll be disappointed. There's no fixing the system from within it. :( I know Ron Paul and some others have done a lot to further liberty, but they didn't do it as politicians. They did it by others watching how the system ignored the attempts to further liberty. Our system is designed to allow the occasional liberty lover to get elected without them being able to do much "damage" to the establishment. That's what happened to Ron Paul.

The lower level election you get however, the more potential for positive change. Even local level politicians though are stuck in a system controlled by an establishment. Even a local sheriff has to whore him or herself out to local oligarchs. The real solution therefore is to remove the system entirely and do that by walking away from it. Don't fight it. Simply walk away and ignore it.

I agree 100 percent. Im pulling a @adamkokesh just at a smaller level. Lol

His is a little weird because he could pull it off if enough people get pissed off and demand equal access to debates, etc.

Then once he's in, he dissolves the federal government. THAT works for me!

Good point, you can't fix a system that was meant to have people like Ron Paul give you the illusion of a political savior. Sure his values are great but like you said, theirs no fixing the system from within it. Liberty is simply the state giving people the permission to act on their own free so it's coming from a perspective that government is a legitimate entity.
