SO Much Randomness!

Hello Again!
It's Saturday morning again.. you know... it happens every week. This time though, nothing is doing any work around here, oh wait, it's no longer morning, it's 23 minutes after noon. How'd that happen???? Normally if I sit down to do a post on Saturday, the clothes and dish washers are whirring in the background so at least something valid is being done. Not today though, maybe later.
As you would guess, there is art still going on around here or at least some paint splashing and paper tearing and the such. I made these collage papers yesterday.
A little over a week ago I was at my art table and there were some leftover paints as I was about to leave my table, so I put a thin piece of paper in a plastic tray, watered down the colors to thin them out and sprinkled randomly over the paper, sprayed them with a little more water, laid another piece of thin paper on top and left them there to dry overnight. The next morning they were dry. I pulled them apart and liked how they came out, so made a mental note to play with that idea again later.
These are 4 of the many I made yesterday. It's interesting how you can entertain yourself when you are alone. Before work yesterday I had a few extra moments, so on a whim, I put another paper in a tray, dripped random colors of ink on them, sprayed again with water and laid another paper on top that would soak up some of the wet ink. By first break, to my surprise, they were dry. I pulled apart the dry papers and loved what came out, so I set it up again and at lunch, more dry pretty papers! It made the day fun, rushing a little to make the next set up and later taking them out to see what random goodness had happened and doing it all over again.
Yesterday evening I played a little more using different types of acrylic paints, diluting them with water to see what they would turn out. I got many fun, colorful papers that I can use later in collages, but in the end, the inks worked best for this type of papers so I'm thinking there will be more inks showing up here in the future.
Pretty... right?

A couple of nights ago, I woke up for a brief moment in the night for no apparent reason and in my head, there was a picture of the top of a robot head sticking up out of the water at the edge of a pond or lake against the grasses at the edge and the thought "It asked me if I was human, so I pushed it in the pond". I don't know where that came from. It was weird, but I remembered it the next morning so I did a quick rendition of it. Of course it looks nothing like the real vision, but it captured the idea.

The morning after it had come into my head, before I got out of bed I pondered it two minutes, wondered if we would ever be in the position to have to defend ourselves from robots and this thought came up .... which made me giggle right then and there. Later when I put the one above on paper, I did this too! Funny!

Last night after I had played with all the ink and paint papers in trays, handling the drippy papers and all, I straightened up a small mountain of collage papers that had a accumulated behind my immediate workspace. There ended up being a small pile of bits. Instead of throwing them all away, I made another "Scrapple" piece in a journal. I had used up all the journal pages, but several of the pages only had some random paint on them, so I decided I should do stuff over top of the paint smudges instead of leave them that way. This worked out to resolve both issues and it was fun.

A couple of weeks ago as I was thrifting, I saw this bentwood rocking horse and was enamored with it. I have never seen anything like it before. I was really attracted too it, but for real, I have no place for such things and I certainly didn't have any need for it, still, I was highly attracted to it. Alas, all I brought home was a photo.... and that is the way it should be.

This is another scrapple piece I did, maybe a month ago. Somehow I liked how it came out. It looks a little better if you click on it so it pushes back a little. It had some fun elements in it. Even though it is not important at all, sometimes I wish when I did the first Scrapple piece, that I would have numbered it so that later as I randomly did more, they could be Scrapple 1 and Scrapple 2 and.... Scrapple 101.. .but I didn't, so although it isn't a high number really, I don't know how many there are scattered on boards and papers and play journals.

Nothing much crazy is going on here these days and I suppose that is a good thing. I'm still working and playing and a few other random things as they come up, but nothing too exciting.
I seem to be content most of the time anyway and I can appreciate that.
My play space.
My Happy Place!

I hope you are all doing well and that your hearts are happy.
Love you!

"It asked me if I was human, so I pushed it in the pond"

A perfectly valid response!! Nice to see you Missy!!

ha ha...I thought so! I wonder where that came from??? Too much talk about AI and robots and the such maybe.

Nice to see you too! Are you keeping a list of all the things you will post about when you one day have time to post again?

AI should definitely get in the pond every single time!

I do have a list! It's quite large, so much so I would easily have a years worth!
