Inktober day 12: Whale

in #art6 years ago

Today I'm sat in Regent's Park in London ahead of meeting up with some old friends. I've had a good wander and a a few sights. I was looking for inspiration for this sketch, but I found it on a podcast called No Such Thing as a Fish. This is by the people behind the QI TV show and it's full of quirky facts. One was that there may be whales around who were alive when Moby Dick was written. It's horrible that so many were killed by people. Anyway I imagined a whale having his 200th birthday.

There are other whales apart from those on Steemit.

I can't imagine a World where Whales go extinct. We really are doing some serious damage

See? Even the whales here like Inktober! Nice work.

Sad to think we are killing 100+ year old creatures unnecessarily for sure.

Inktober? Nice idea - so you can also draw @steevc? A creative wonder you are!

I make no claims to be an artist and I am amazed at the talent of others here. I'm just having fun. We should try new things and find ways to express ourselves.

well said - always learn, try and develop your brain / skills.
