'Blue Moon'

It is not a real blue moon but the colour of the light and the round shape somehow remind me of it. Have you ever seen a blue moon? It is a quite rare atmospheric phenomenon that cannot be overlooked. A source of ideas and inspirations for many art forms. So why not use it abstractly, only to direct the observers toward the feeling they would have if a real blue moon was right here in front of us? :)

The colour range stretches from cyan to almost purple, with blue and between. On the cracked wall, there are many different tones of presented colours. Notice the extreme difference between the perfect cyan shape on the right side against the uneven, rundown cracked wall all over the image. The cyan colour binds them together, only to be exchanged for darker tones as the light fades away. Can you see the darkened corners which close the composition, making sure that the observation ends in the middle part? Right on the crack, which is there to counter the perfection of the cyan area.

Do you see a small dark circle on the left side of the frame? When noticed, it immediately binds the attention to itself. There is also a connection between it and the cyan half-circle.

Enjoy! :)

In the 1700s, the term blue moon was found in several manuscripts. The meaning of the blue moon at that time "will never". Meanwhile, in 1821, the term "blue moon" appeared in a book on the story of the working class. The sentence with the phrase reads, "I have not seen you this blue moon." The blue moon at the time meant a very long time.

Footnotes on the book of words that mentions that the term "blue moon" is a colloquial language.

The term blue moon reached its popularity in the 19th century. At that time, the phrase, "Once in A Blue Moon" appears. At that time, in Almanak Petani Maine, the blue moon was defined as the moon into a quarter which has four full moons. Ordinary, a quarter only has three full moon. Why is the third month called blue? The first atmosphere, the term adopted from a language called the dark blue moon.

Another theory, the blue title derives from French, "La Deux Lune", which if pronounced would be similar to "Blue Moon". The third theory states, the third month is called the blue moon because it signifies scarcity and misfortune. In 1946, the article "Once in a Blue Moon" in Sky and Telescope magazine written by James Hugh Pruett was mistaken from the blue moon as the second month of the same month.

According to astronomer John P Millis, a very accurate resolution is very popular and more. Farmers Almanac Maine. The phenomenon of the blue moon gets a lot of attention from people all over the world. The lives of townspeople who are already far from the astronomical problems may make the blue moon phenomenon admired Just plain.

Love the colors!

What is the background? Almost looks like exotic rock.

Keep up the great work!

At first glance it felt like we were going underwater. Then I was drawn to the brightness of the blue circle. The glow against the stone casts such a soothing effect. Relaxing. Unfortunately, you drew my attention to the little black dot and now I have to force myself to not look at it. Lol

i never seen blue moon but its nice

The man from above always makes great comments, praise him :)
I have been studying astrophysics and astronomy for a long time (I planned to connect my life with astrophysics, but I became an engineer :)
So I have some information about this phenomenon. I myself have not seen such a moon. I know that the reason for this is the optical effect. This is due to the fact that the short wavelengths of the light wave often correspond to the blue color (as well as the shades of blue) and at the same time a short wave dissipates more easily in the terrestrial atmosphere than long waves.
Another blue moon manifests itself on the fourth full moon. This is an extremely rare phenomenon since the constant (the standard number of full-term is 3).
I'm sure that if you start looking for information in Google open spaces, you can find the blue moon calendar.
As if to look from the point of view of television, the Blue Moon - is associated with this fagot Boris Moiseyev. When I was young he was often shown on TV and he sang this song :)
If you look from the point of view of the photo-graph that you presented to us, then it too can have a certain meaning. Let's say that the Blue Moon is a rare phenomenon and we see it from the viewpoint of the observer. That is, here she acts as a rare chance, which can not be missed. This chance falls once in a lifetime.
Good job.
I do not know whether you read my comments, but I traditionally leave it here :)

Wooo so nice photography @velimir

It really is very beautiful. Please share more wonderful things like this.

yeah, it's not a real moon, but looking like a real one, amazingly captured.
It would look more real if there was a black background.

Great post and i enjoy reading your works.

I love your clever use of composition, it works fantastically well, drawing the viewer to exactly where you want them and the contrast between the globe and the textured wall is beautiful.

Great photography !
