Finding the right angle to start this post wasn’t a piece of cake but finally here it is :
My Hive name says it all :
Caro : for Caroline, obviously my name
Bali : for where I live, in a wonderfully and well-known island in South Indonesia
Balo : just for the joke, I am French and in France we say ‘c’est balo’ for ‘It’s a shame’
So now you ‘ve got a French girl name Caroline living in Bali, Indonesia.
I landed in Bali for the first time in 2015, I made it my home and I lived here since then.
I found that Bali offers the peace and tranquility I need.
My story with cryptos
I started blogging on Steemit a few years ago after a friend introduced me to this awesome world, and stopped when I, very unfortunately, lost my keys…Lesson learned! I keep my hive’s ones very preciously, online and printed out. Very recently my interest for crypto strengthened as I am hoping to be able to keep working for myself and be independent for as long as possible, if not forever! I am listening to podcasts, researching about technical vocabulary and the metaverse, the more I know the more I find that world thrilling.
Shaping my daughter’s future
One dream I have is to send my daughters to Green School, maybe you heard about it? It’s a new generation type of school focused on building the student leadership through environmentally-oriented projects.
I find that in general the actual education system is lacking useful subjects in its curriculum and would need a good update. Understand artificial intelligence, computer language, environment and climate issues. I wish the schools systems could prepare our children to tomorrow’s world and guide them to make a good and healthy use of the new technologies.
What do I do when I’m not Hive
Since 2019, I’m an online French tutor, so there you go, I’m on zoom a couple of hours per day.
When I’m not debating the reason why an incredibly disturbing number of letters in the French alphabet are mute, I enjoy practicing yoga, a very new addiction that keeps me busy 2 mornings per week. So far, I am happy with my improvement even though I still need to perfect my technique.
I like to make crafts with the kiddos too and enjoy reading a good adventurous novel whenever I have some free time.
I won’t keep you any longer but I am looking forward to see you at my next post.
