Observing the Blochain technology how companies are trying to disrupt existing markets like the Blockchain STEEM is doing with Steemit in the area of social media, my thoughts were already how this technology will find its ways into the tool we use today the most; Smartphones.
HTC is the first big brand trying to create blockchain based phone called HTC Exodus. It's not the first one in general but the first from a big brand. I guess they chose the name because of the biblical meaning. The Israeli people were kept for many many years in captive by the former world power Egypt.
Which could stand for the current centralised system, where our data don't really belong to us instead we are making the people on the top even richer by giving our data to them by using their products.
Moses who was called from God had the order to lead the people out of Egypt into a land where milk and honey flows, the decentralised system. This story is written in 2.Book of Mose called Exodus which could be translated: Going out of somewhere into something new and better.
OK, enough bible study lets go back to topic.😁
HTC sees the Exodus as a handset that will let owners keep their data -- and blockchain currencies -- private and secure on the device rather than in the cloud, where your sensitive information may be easier to extract and tamper with.
The Exodus phone will support decentralized applications, called DApps, run on Android software and have a universal wallet for storing your digital currencies. HTC says every phone will serve as its own blockchain node, part of the network that helps make blockchain systems secure.
When the Blockchain technology will be revolutionising, of course, one of the biggest markets have to be affected. This will bring new opportunities for new players.
For example; HTC will run on an Android software; maybe we will see a new major in term of a blockchain based OS.
For sure we'll see new App stores coming and and and.
Look how much tools and applications are already built on this blockchain. This is crazy!
I am really excited what the future will hold for us.
And we are already a part of it.
It's just the beginning guys!

This is what I am looking for. Cyrptocurrency is all good. And it will find its acceptance and use in the long run.
But this blockchain application in many fields like security, software and banking - is the key market destroyer.
I am hopeful there will be many blockchain based application. And the shift will benefit many in the process.

I read that it will retail somewhere around $1000. A bit expensive for now but I would grab it in a heartbeat at $400 if it has a good camera.

it's cool and at the same time not cool, cus' when my phone gets stolen, that's means the thief will have access to my coins..
It will not quite be that way sister.
First on this phone will be security steps for each transaction.
Second, it's always important to have access to your private key.
Even when your phone gets stolen but the thief has no access to the private key he can't do anything. Your private key is the most important thing to protect :)

HTC also embrass blockchain I must say this is a welcoming idea, and this has tells us that blockchain has come to stay.

For me it is my first time hearing of a Blockchain smartphone. The state of authorization of this smartphone must be so on point. It will also increase the exposure of the industry to a wider range of people
The system is getting more improved daily. It is really exciting indeed. But the thing now is, Android is coming first again.
Yes, with that the whole realm of blockchain will be spread wider as it is right now. But also apart of that the development is going into the right direction.
Applications like steemit and in the future smt will give a huge boost.
This is really amazing news. The company takes a big step forward when creating a smartphone based on a block chain. Such a smartphone will be in demand. I think that after them such smartphones will be made by other companies.

ich bin ganz froh das der Zufall mich eines Tages in Steemit brachte, dies ist mein Weg mich mit Blockchain/cryptostuff auseinander zu setzen um Aktiv zu sein, es ist für mich persönlich aber eigentlich eher ein BLOG System in dem ich eben etwas schreibe und etwas zurück erhalte, auch wenn viele Upvotes 0,00 zb sind haben sie dennoch mehr wert für mich als ein LIKE auf Facebook, denn auf Facebook hast Du Dich schon verkauft bevor Du geliket hast...
Ich sehe es sehr positiv mit diesem Handy das Problem welches ich aber da sehe ist ja das generelle Problem mit Android Phones derzeit das soviel CRAP drauf ist bzw sich dank der vorinstallierten BRANDINGS sich ja nach und nach sachen installieren die du oftmals gar nicht abschalten kannst...
Dennoch sehe ich viel gutes in der momentanen Bewegung für das Individium... wobei die Frage bleibt wann die MARKETECONOMY da eine Grätsche rein machen wird und das system dann massiv verändern wird.
Auch wenn man denkt das dies da Dezentralisierung kaum möglich ist sage ich ist es doch möglich amn muss nur genug investieren und sich eben ein monopol erkaufen ...
This is a very smart move, HTC is evaluating the society and their tendencies... Smartphones are conquering the world, so what better way to create a successful project other than focusing on what people use the most on a daily bases.
As you said, this is just the beginning and in my opinion this a strategic move, very well thought about by HTC.
HTC is not a common mobile phone brand here in the Philippines unlike iPhone and Samsung, but of course with this new technology the opportunity is really huge, I might need to change mobile phone. ;) Thank you for sharing this awesome update @modernpastor! I am also very thrilled and excited! ☺♥
