Random Spiel, My Rapid Weight Loss Program

in #bloglast year

Warning: it's unhealthy and it requires discipline to pull off. I don't recommend.

I started with 68 kg then after 2 months I ended up with 60 kg using my bullshit diet program called "SSSP". I got my recent blood sugar tests done and it showed I got impaired fasting blood glucose levels, so I'm in my bargaining phase hoping some drastic lifestyle modifications would avert me from a full blown diabetes diagnosis.

Starvation. Stress. Sickness. Poverty.

All these factors helped me overcome the urge to eat and I used those as my strengths to continue.

Starvation

Because my work during the day is packed, even having time for lunch can sometimes be a luxury due to the sheer volume of patients I have to see on a regular basis. So while I convince myself that starving for a while would be the most altruistic move for the common good, it's really just a self interest and excuse not to eat on time until the sensation of hunger passes.

Stress

I get trauma dumped a lot because that's the nature of my work on top of being a doctor elsewhere. I still have a life outside the profession so I got friends and family to help me get stressed.

Sickness.

Unfortunately this is one area I haven't even had despite trying to get sick. After call the exposure to coughs and rain, my immune system is doing fine so the most I could muster is making jokes about not getting to use my sick leave.

Poverty

I've been more conscious about the food I buy and the labels on the ingredients behind the packaging. Like how much sugar I'm getting per serving if I bought X milk carton vs other milk carton. How much protein I'm getting if I just bought eggs and fried chicken versus my regular diet.

In no damn way do I recommend following these steps as some weight loss magic. I'm just sharing what works for me and I recognize there are better ways to do it. I still coupled this diet change with exercise and walk like 10k steps per day at least.

I think I managed to save a lot of food money just by minding the last bit but I could attribute to most of weight loss was the difference in food choices like reducing my carb intake and increasing my protein intake if I could.

Just having boiled eggs, a glass of milk, fried chicken, and boiled bean sprouts ruled my diet. Coffee with cream and sugar were my go to strategy just to convince my body that I got enough sugar to last longer as I want to reduce my meal intake. Of course there were times when I'm tempted to eat something despite already eating enough solid foods for the day (at least my own internal quota says so), so the trick was just putting in a lot of fruit juice in.

Your brain tells you you're hungry because it detects a lack of sugar in the blood, so all I need to do was trick my brain I'm full by having a source of sugar which was fruit juices. The unhealthy alternative was carbonated beverages but that ruins the point of doing all these rituals.

The first few days was tough and always feeling hungry but there was satisfaction in delaying gratification and the objective proof of the effort was losing weight bit by bit. I still have the energy to function. I'll target 55 kg just so I could look hot like my old beach body.

Thanks for your time.

While I am trying to gain weight drastically you are doing the opposite.
What do you recommend as a Rapid weight gain program?

I haven't tried gaining weight consciously but I can think of the unhealthy way (faster) and a healthy way (harder)? there's also the question of why you want to gain weight.

Well, I don't like how thin/slim I appear.
Pls give the two options lemme choose one or both

1st, understand that if being slim runs in the family, there's not much to be done since you're already predisposed to have a high metabolism to burn calories quick.

2nd, increase carbohydrate diet and a sedentary lifestyle. You accumulate more fats this way. It's unhealthy because you're just setting yourself up to be sick and fat.

The healthy route is eating more protein to bulk up while exercising.

Alright, sedentary lifestyle is not for me no matter how hard I try. So I will stick with the protein and exercise. Thank you

This shouldn't be this funny😂😂😭

Although I guess I did learn something knew.

So the sensation of hunger is because of low sugar

Ah, this is very interesting and a reminder. I used to do wet fasting before. I tried doing it once a week, but caved in after trying it out. I should try it out again given the fact that age is catching up with moi. Add exercise, eating healthier food, get enough sleep and rest. LOL. Good luck on your health. !DUO

Hey I meet some of these diet requirements :) The only thing difference is I'm not trying to lose but have. Working and not having time to eat is a big part of it.

If it were my body, I'd have a ready to drink fruit juices/milk or small bite sized snacks nearby. Some would even find it odd I'd consider to blender my food and drink them through a straw. With liquids on a tumbler, people would think twice before reprimanding you to be "eating" while working, after all, it just looks like you're drinking water or juices.

Yes that's a good idea my other issue is when I'm stressed I don't have an appetite. Most days I'm only good for one small meal. Maybe I can get a beach body without trying, haha

So the secret to losing weight is to have a very demanding job. 🫠😬
