Utilizing Facebook to find winning products

We all get bombarded with ads daily. Some of our favorite ads will be plastered across our Facebook feed if we're unfortunate enough to still use that site and don't have an AdBlocker.

Either way, Facebook is still good for something.

Looking for products to sell

What most people don't know is that you can look up competitor's ads by searching for them.

All you need to do is type in specific keywords in quotation marks and then hit the search button.

Possible search terms might be the following:

Facebook will then show you a bunch of posts containing the words you searched for. Most of them are paid ads.

Like this one:

What you wanna do then, is look at their engagement, check when the ad was placed, and whether or not it is still live, something you'll judge by sorting the comments by "recent".

You also want to go check out their store and see what their website looks like.

This is the page I was taken to when I clicked the link in the above ad:

What you can do next is use a site like https://www.similarweb.com/ to find out about the specifics of their website. How much traffic do they generate, how long do users stay on the page, bounce rate, where does most traffic come from.

That can give you further estimates as to whether or not a certain store is successful.

Go product hunting

The next step in this process is to find the product on Aliexpress or your preferred whole seller to figure out if you're going to be able to sell the same or a similar item.

In this case, it was pretty easy to find the exact same watch from tons of suppliers on Aliexpress.

Now the selling can begin!

After you made sure the prodcut, page, traffic etc. fits your criteria

Stay awesome and don't fail to build!
