OK.... so it was yesterday I ate the Christmas Tree, but I thought about doing a post with that title when I took the photos and so..... it was done.
Sure, at least one "disappearing Christmas cake" photo was blurry and even though I took a couple of shots at each point, if it is blurry, that is because all the shots of that bit were blurry. What can you do?
It's fun though.... right ?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US. I am not skipping it to go straight to Christmas, I'm just doing them both at the same time till Thanksgiving is over. 😂 That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Less than 10 days ago the trees across the back of this yard were a beautiful firey orange. They were so bright and beautiful. I just couldn't help but smile each time I saw them through window.

They are Bradford Pear trees, something that was not native to our country, but once people started adding them to their ornamental gardens, they scatted all over very quickly and now are considered (by some) to be invasive. I'm thinking if it has to be invasive, at least it's pretty. Better than invasive and ugly.... right ?

This morning though, gone.... gone.... pretty leaves are nearly gone. It has been rainy and a bit breezy over the last week. Now the bare branches speak of the winter that will be rolling in soon.

There were a few hanger on'ers around the bottom and their scattered yellow and oranges looked neat against the green of the evergreen trees behind them. It looked amazingly beautiful to my eyes.

But zinging back to Christmas kind of, my Mom has now made her Christmas fruitcakes, so you know the holidays are not far off.

A labor of love for sure... ok.... maybe she was just hungry for it and how else do you get homemade, but to make it yourself ! You can be sure too that it cost a fortune to make them now, with the price of nearly everything sky high! Nuts and candied fruits oh my....

It's Saturday morning again. It happens every week somehow. I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning....because I could.... so I slept in a bit. Since then I have done a random chore or two....the clothes washer and dryer are doing their thing and the dish washer is whirring happily in the kitchen. It's 1 PM and I wondering if I should change out of my nightgown now. 😆. It seems every 10 minutes I look up and an hour has passed.
Of course I will do some more chores, but I may also put up my 6 foot vintage aluminum tree too. I moved things around during the night to open up the space where it will go. I either have too much stuff or my house is too little. ha ha.... but I'll make it work like always.
I hope you are all doing well.
Luv Ya !

You know me and invasive plants. I fecking love them!! I might see if they are hardy enough to live here!
In the spring they are covered with white blooms. They do not produce edible pears and have a hard round berry instead that birds like, that's why they are invasive "poop !!"....ha.... and although I don't know from experience, I read they could be toxic to dogs. I never really see the berries on these, because the birds eat them up too fast.
Bloody hell, they look marvellous!
Stuff the dogs, it might mean less poo on the pavements :OD
