This is my post as an entry into @wizardave
What's in Your library challenge and here's the link if you wish to enter the contest yourself.

https://steemit.com/contest/@wizardave/what-s-in-your-library-challenge-by-wizardave

I have decided that @wizardave is holding such a great competition that i am going to run a little challenge on the side of his contest myself.

Anyone else that takes up his challenge and then comments that they have done so to me here below too, will get my 100% upvote, and also your in for a chance to win 1 share of #steembasicincome from myself at the end of the competition.

I will choose from the most interesting or the most unusual library, and the rules for @wizardave contest are below.

I wish you the very best of luck.

They say you are....

• The books you read.
• The films you watch.
• the music you listen too.
•The conversations you engage in.

• Choose wisely what you feed your mind.

A challenge to you:

I would like to get to know you better.
I'm sure others would, too!

Can you share the books your read?

Create a show & tell post about your library.
(At least one pic)
Don't have a physical library?
Do you have books on your computer or phone?
Do you use a library?
Tell me what kind of books you have in your library.

Tell me about any books you really like or you recommend.

The only rule

Provide a link to your post in the comments below.

You don't have to upvote or resteem,

but it would be greatly appreciated!

Woooho here is mine:
https://steemit.com/contest/@mrprofessor/books-what-s-in-your-library-challenge-let-s-share-knowledge

So, you live in a truck? I would love to know more about that since I'm looking up to live in a car/sailboat myself.

Hi @mrprofessor thanks for your entry, i will take a look at your library in a mo, and here's an article i wrote about Alice my truck home a little while back so you font have to sroll down the page to find it. Anything you wish to know about Alice just ask and i will be more than happy to answer 😊

https://steem.ly/ru

Im waiting for my power to return to 100% untill i can upvote this comment and also your post, wishing you good luck in the contest too 😊

Amazing, I'll check it.
Most of my questions are regarding the cost. I try to compare life at an appartment vs. camper/truck vs sail boat and all the logistic it takes.
I'm getting serious about moving to a 'moving' house as I see it in a more sustainable way, and I can travel around... just need to know how I'll work away.

Hey @mrprofessor, i share the same goal of living and traveling in a sailboat. I've considered staying on land and doing the 'van' thing, but then I took up sailing and now I'm determined to make that part of my life.
But I'd like to recommend and invite you to follow @knot - a steemit blog for sailors, promoting sailing related posts and supporting sailors (pros and enthusiasts). See you there. :)

Awesome, thank you so much for sharing!

I've been reading a lot about sailing and I've been crew for 1 or 2 times, to be honest, I found it quite easy to make the boat move and go where I wanted. Staying alive on the big ocean though is another story HAHAHA

Have you ever analysed the costs between the two options? van vs boat? That's what I'm missing, the planning! Next semester I'll leave my job to travel to a city where a lot of people live in sail boats, to see by myself how it actually works.
We need to be super careful with all those beautiful channels on youtube, most of them are sponsored by publicity companies.

I will upvote your post when my power returns later @leeart thanks for you entry and good luck.
Wishing you a wonderful day 😊

Nice idea to extend the contest. Here is the link to my reply: https://steemit.com/contest/@grwduck/what-s-in-your-library-challenge-by-wizardave-my-answer

Your now entered into the contest @grwduck
Good luck 😊

Here is mine. I almost didn't make it in time
Whew now I am going to read some library posts.
https://steemit.com/books/@headchange/what-s-in-my-library-challenge

I will resteem your post now and will also upvoteyour post and this comment a bit later on @headchange when my power returns 😊
Good luck in the contest and wishing you a great day my friend 😊

Thanks I am waiting for power to rebuild as well. It takes me forever to vote especially since I found out my penny can turn to dust if not used properly 😩 Happy Book Week.

I try to keep my voting power over 80% as it gives a £0.03 upvote and gives people a smile. This week its droped low because of the upvotes for this contest, it really annoys me when a post gets loads of votes worth £0.00 because people have not grasped the concept of recharging and powering up their steem. Anyway i wont bore you, i could write a post about it and i wouldn't want to do that. I would rather be inspired by your books 😀

Oh I am all wrapped up in figuring out the VP right now. Since mine is a dust vote I still have to stack it so it will count. That news burst my bubble big time. I was having such fun putting pennies on comments.
Here's to hoping we will both be bigger fish soon. At least it makes for creative vote strategy.

You have 30 steem power just keep your voting power above 80% it should still be $0.01 even if you have to stop upvoting for a day of so, 20% is around 15 votes a day. Just keep posting quality content and photos and every day your steem goes up 😊

Yes up a bit every day. I found it a bit disappointing to learn of the dust threshold. I figured out a way to work around that so it's all good. Just one more of those things I wish I had learned sooner.

Honored to share my library with you. Too bad I spotted this late in the game but will resteem anyway. Blessings.https://steemit.com/library/@mistermercury/what-s-in-my-library-challenge

This is a great little collection you have @mistermurcury i am going to find myself a copy of The religion and Musashi too they both look like amazing reads. Im also interested in getting a copy of The wise heart too 😊
Thanks for sharing your library and this qualifies as an entry to my what's in your library contest upvoted and resteemed your post to my page
Good luck 😊

Thanks @happysmileyman. i do hope you read The Religion. The author has become a friend of mine. He is from Ireland and has a small stone cottage on the very western edge of Ireland overlooking the Atlantic. He resides there while writing. He is very gifted and very bright. Musashi: a remarkable book. Took me into the world of Japan many centuries ago. I actually re-read the last chapter probably 10 times. It was such a remarkable journey into the marriage of spirit and martial arts. Rather remarkable. Blessings.

I lived out on the west coast of Ireland for a while and i can see where a writer would find inspiration from. I have just managed to get both books from Amazon just now for £30 😊
Thanks for the inspiration 😉

Cool. They are both remarkable books. Not formula books at all. Have fun. The main character in THe Religion was at one time a janissary for the Moslems. Do a little research on that. Rather fascinating.

Hi

Here's mine complete with tangents and more... ; )

https://steemit.com/contest/@rossfletcher/what-s-in-your-library-challenge

Hello fellow book lover!! Sending you warmth on this fine Sunday - what a stellar day for reading a book in the sunshine for us here in Victoria! Hope your burner is going and you have a cuppa on. Or, that you have splendid sunshine too! Here's my post on books!

https://steemit.com/contest/@riverflows/what-s-in-your-library-challenge-a-lesson-in-attachment

Aha! Now I see why you are always happy & smiling! 😉

  • I see several books there I would enjoy reading.
I have read John Seymour and Napoleon Hill...
    • The Alchemist sound kind of like the Og Mandino books. Have you read them?
If not, I highly recommend all his books...

Well, it's been nice getting to know you a bit better through your library.

  • Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest!

Upon your recommendation @wizardave i bought a copy of "The Greatest Salesman in the World" by Og Mandino from ebay last night, looking forward to reading it now 😊

Thanks for entering @frejafri your contestant lucky number 13 😊

Your library counts too @wizardave and your contestant lucky number 3 😊

Hi - One of these days I will get around to 'shelving' my book collection so I too can go nomadic (or maybe I'll just find a temporary home) I am rather attached to my book collection....

https://steemit.com/steembasicincome/@revisesociology/reflections-on-growing-up-with-books-and-my-current-book-collection

Hi @revisesociology isn't it great to explore each others library and grab snippets of inspiration, knowledge and niceness. Thank you for so much for taking the time to share your great book collection.
Your entered into this contest now too, i will upvote your post, this comment and resteem your post to my page.
Good luck and wishing you a happy day 😊

Why thankyou kindly. Well met!

Ive upvoted your post and comment here and resteemed this to my page @piccola.valeria 😊
Good luck in the contest 😊

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

have just recieved a copy of The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho thanks to @endorphoenix recommendation and i shall be diving into this book very soon.
It should be received instead of recieved.

Love it ❤ thank you @grammarnarzi btw love the name 😊

The old i before e except after c rule. I never remember that one.

Sometimes i slip up because im posting through steem and theirs no spell checker im human its a robot 😊

Sometimes I slip up because I'm bad at grammar :) Occasionally I catch a mistake after publishing and cringe. Oh well.

He he.. i have learnt how to spell definitely properly on Steemit!

🤣😂🤣😂😊

I'm generally a party-pooper when it comes to challenges, but this one sounds interesting. I might partake :)

Im in if you are!

I look forward to your post. I'll get mine up tonight.

Looks like @ginnyannette has taken up the challenge @riverflows, i am looking forward to looking at your entry as well now too 😊

Please do @ginnyannette your in for a chance of 2 shares of #steembasicincome one from me and one from @wizardave 😊

nice collection of books there, I have some of them myself. lots jumped out at me but after looking at them for a little bit I'd love to know about Wolf Brother, nice challenge x

Thanks @trucklife-family i am very limited as to what books i keep here in my truck but have good reference and knowledge base wizardom.

The Wolf Brother is written by Michelle Paver its a childrens book or for Adults with good immagination. Its such a great book i would really recommend to read.
The adventure takes the reader back in time thousands of years to a shadowy World full of natural magic and a young boy who's father is killed by a demon bear and his only friend is an orphaned wolf cub, the story literally grabs you at the very beginning and firmly wont let go untill the very end. 😊

Its the first book in a series called chronicles of ancient darkness. 😊

It's a sweet series.. I read it when my boy read it when he was still at home.

Such inspiring words for children to have read to them, i bet they loved the whole series ❤

No no, I didn't read it to him, he read it. And I read it because I read all the books he read, because they were fun and it connected us. He'd often come home from school saying MUM HAVE YOU TAKEN MY BOOK AGAIN, I WANT TO FINISH IT FIRST!! Bless him. He devoured books by the hundreds. He always said that he couldn't do without two things: reading and guitar. Now he drums. Haha.

oh.... truer words have never been spoken, my buddy!

• Choose wisely what you feed your mind.

Right now - I'm actually not reading anything except my own book that I'm writing! hahahahaha but that probably doesn't count. I do find though... that there is nothing so exhilirating... as reading a chapter that you've semi-forgotten... and found that it is AMAZINGLY exciting! :)

That's where I'm at right now... trying to piece chapters together for releasing them exclusively on Steemit. Very intimidating knowing that editing can only happen for 7 days! heheheh but.... also thrilling? :)

I used to be able to read 4 books at time and enjoy them all thoroughly... but I seem to be in a different stage of life now!

I think our buddy-ship is done today... but if you don't mind, I'll still keep dropping by ;)

This is such a blessing our new friendship here on steem @dreemsteem 😊
To qualify for the contest you will have to make a post then share it with us all here but can immagine writting a book you have to be focused on doing this 😊 i will look out for anything you post at it sounds intrieging. Whats the book about i wonder?
I can also read around 4 books at a time too 😊

Yes, I intentionally didn't enter the contest because I'm just writing my book and didn't fit the criteria.. lol

I just wanted to interact... But!!!!
Here is what I could do.... (If you like)

I just recently discovered after reading comments on my book's posts ANOTHER reason why I love writing exclusively for steemit.

I was thinking about writing a post about that.... And I could leave a steemit link for THAT book that I'm currently reading and writing! Lololol

(By the way... Chapter 9 is releasing in just a few hours if you'd like to take a peek, buddy!!! Hehhee)

Tell you what i will do @dreemsteem i will wait untill you've posted chapter 9
Post the link to your post on here and i will include as an entry to the contest. How about that! 😊

hehehhe i just posted ;)

I would love to see what YOU think about it! (might be a bit confusing as a stand-alone... but not sure if you want to read all 9 chapters to catch up hahahha)
FIREFLIES

:)

This qualifies as the first entry in the contest 😊and gets my 100% upvote
I will take a look at your book tomorrow night @dreemsteem as I am driving back up to Somerset in the day 😊
Wishing you big smiles

I have to say....
I'm pretty excited about your opinion of it! Since you seem to be a voracious reader hehhee

Now I have to wait a whole day!?!! Lolol eeeeee!!

Oh my god I LOVE this... I will get on it tomorrow and comment properly!!! I have HOMEWORKS and the mushroom book.. plus a few other Lloyd Kahn books!!! Do you know that I fell in love with Jamie because.of the boookshelf in his truck???

You will be the only entry if you do @riverflows as no ones taken the challenge up so far 😊

How long do I have???

You still have a few days left to enter, make sure you enter @wizardaves contest before posting your link below, then your in with a chance to win both 😊

I love Paulo Coelho. The Alchemist is his first book that I read. I might enter this challenge.
