Changelly is a well-known cryptocurrency exchange. It has announced partnership with Jaxx, who is one of the most widely used cryptocurrency wallets.
The Changelly API will be built directly into the application, meaning frictionless conversions between different cryptocurrencies available in the Jaxx wallet.
I last wrote about some of the related info here on June 13th a month ago, when I wrote the breaking news that Charlie Shrem, who has ties to Changelly -- had joined JAXX as a head of business development and community relations, and also that JAXX has huge plans to work with 70+ projects/currencies, etc. and it appears that move is starting in earnest.

I keep most of my coins on the ledger nano S but I do have a jaxx wallet for quick trades if something comes up. This is extremely bullish! Just take a look at the list of companies jumping on board.

They claim to take no other fees if you look on their website, just 0.5% conversion fees.
Changelly is really nice and easy to use. But, even if they don't take a cut (I doubt that) you are trading at the market, meaning you are losing on the spread on both sides.
I may give it a try sometime.

Wallets cause me a lot of anxiety. Should I be getting a hardware wallet or desktop?
I really don't advise people on much --- there are too many factors, co factors, personal info and needs involved.
JAXX has had a cold storage Ledger type solution announced months ago, called the Ice Cube --- but no updates, nothing back, in a long time.
I remember we discussed Jaxx back when I was wallet shopping. I ended up with Exodus/Shapeshift because it was easier for me to understand and navigate. I haven't even looked at Jaxx since then. It looks like this will be a big step forward for them and their affiliates.

JAXX has a few key cryptos that EXODUS does not. It is one of the reasons I wanted to make sure you knew.
If you are in the menu, you can click on wallets and a yuge drop down comes up LOL, of other ones you can 1-click enable.
I really have been waiting for news / their cold storage Ice Cube for months, I am surprised they have not posted or updated on that - I have checked their twitter feed a few times.
Ah, okay, gotcha! That would be handy. Exodus is adequate for my uses, but if I ever decide to get heavy into trading, that would probably be more functional.

Very informative post. One question I have is this: let's say I have a Jaxx wallet with Bitcoin in it. I decide I want to use some of that Bitcoin to buy Stellar Lumens which can be exchanged on changelly. But if Stellar Lumens is not supported by Jaxx, then how does that work? Where can I store it?
I would surmise you would need to store those Lumens either on an exchange in their wallet for you there, or find a Lumens wallet and keep them there.
