RE: Genius idea how to build gaming community!

I agree. I will say that it's a bit discouraging to see it drop so much, but we have to believe it's a phase and things will pick up sooner or later. It just takes the right mindset and some hard work and things will eventually grow as expected.

On the other hand, with so many people investing huge amounts of money on Steem, how can this not be a thing for the future? It's not like there isn't any interest in Steem and Steemit, unlike tons of other virtual currencies that have nothing going for them.

Sort:

I got bad feeling somethimes like just 10-20 % ppl here will accualy earn something. Many strong account vote for themself or gave vote for some donate like many boots out there. And they just simply don't care about other account or growing steemit bigger

You're exaggerating the %, in my opinion :) My idea is that only 5% or so will have some actual, organic earning, without boosting their accounts with real money on Steem (which I'm perfectly fine, by the way, wish I could do so as well).

But I have to look at Steemit as a thing for 5, 10 years. Maybe it keeps growing, and maybe our voting power will increase through our hard work, and things will get better. If I had TONS of voting power like a few others do, what would prevent me from helping out good creators? Don't we earn some of it back anyway, isn't it a win/win situation?

Sadly, I'm even more worried with the amount of crazy spam that is hitting Steemit, with posts without any kind of content and people with dozens of accounts voting themselves. It's shady and unfair.
