I'm a massive fan of KE but as we all know it doesn't tell the whole story. The SUBs invested over 1600 Hive when they started 4 years ago, that's a lot more than most people.

I disagree. It's an excellent indicator. Prove me wrong with data :)
I've become a fan of the KE Ratio, because it matches my personal ethos with respect to Hive. My goal is to be a substantially persistent store of value. The KE in my instance serves as progress bar or goal.

For the record north of 60 is not just high it’s anomalously high.
KE is a great starting point especially for my projects when choosing who to support on Hive. 99% of the time it works perfect for me

Yes, like everything else on Hive, there are many ways to look at things
If I'm correct, your decision was in the making for quite a while, it's a pity that it didn't work out, both for you, and Hive. Hive is not perfect, and a decentralised platform never will be, there are just too many variables at play. Ultimately it all depends on our principles and how perfect we want our world to be.
I hope you will stick around in some form (lurk around in the background?) and maybe one day you'll feel it's worthwhile to resurface again. Either way, take care, and maybe we'll catch up in
