We are going to do a token split in a few days and have an airdrop for holders of DHEDGE. Since we are about to be unable to issue new DHEDGE, another solution needed to be found for DHEDGE / HIVE delegation mining.
Once airdrop is complete, a split of functionality will occur as well.
After the airdrop, new unnamed "TOKENX" will be issued for HIVE delegations only. DHEDGE will still be given out as well for HIVE delegations, but at a reduced rate. Unnamed TokenX will be given out for H-E token delegations alongside hive, but it's source will come from @discohedge's HIVE delegation to @dhedge instead of issuing more for each pool.
Unnamed TokenX will then be used for calculating round based upvotes from @dhedge. DHEDGE will remain the same minus round based upvotes.
This new token will not focus on burning, but instead moving supply to a reserve that doesn't post until it is needed later.
So hold on to this new token when it comes if you still want a share of round based upvotes on your posts. Create a new delegation to @dhedge if you want to get mining some when it is enabled. This should allow for better payouts for our H-E pools, as well as allowing us to increase our dividends coming out for DHEDGE holders.
DVS airdrop will happen in about 12 hours!

Thanks for the update! Correct me if I'm wrong, but after the split in 2019 there was a similar token, accounts who kept it received upvotes. Then certain whales killed the project by counter-downvoting such voted posts. What I love about how DHEGE runs currently is both its investment feature and the fact the votes are not guaranteed and the upvote % cannot be planned (at least not so easily). Hopefully that won't be an issue with the new token.

It should still function the same, upvotes will be near impossible to plan and always have an element of luck.
As for a whale coming along and ruining the project with downvotes, that's always a concern. This split actually protects DHEDGE in the event of that happening, as the new token would be the one effected. However I hope we could avoid such attacks by working with any whale with concerns.
It has always had a blacklist built in, but I haven't found any user doing anything wrong enough to make it on that list, so it has remained empty. I'm also considering a few filters such as a minimum reputation score (something easy like 45) to keep the users who already have targets on their backs out of the system.
