ugh i'm having a hard time with my term paper on how France and Spain became Nation-states
thats the hard part, nation state is hard to explain but
like france was already a state with an absolute monarchy (king had all the power)
but nationalism ideas sparked with the enlightenment and the french revolution
they went from absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy
then a republic, but its considered a nationstate because it has defined territory, consistent military
and a government
hmm i dunno about that, just ideas of liberty and freedom and how property should belong to individuals and not the lords
the french revolution was inspired by the american revolution, trying to get out of the oppression of the nobles and king

the misquoted that scripture, that simply means that there are "gods laws" and mens laws
its also talking about taxes
like you should honor mens laws and pay your taxes, be a good citizen etc
personally i see it as that, and truth too
