Multiple Streams of Income - Dorie Clark in Entrepreneurial You Shows You How

in #dtube8 years ago

Find out how you can add multiple streams of income to what you do. This is critical in today's fast-changing and sometimes overwhelming world.

Recently I had the chance to talk with Dorie Clark, author of The Entrepreneurial You. In this interview we talked about the importance of having multiple streams of income to adapt to and profit from today's crazy-fast world.

Dorie Clark is an author and contributing writer for Harvard Business Review, Huffington Post, Forbes media, and other outlets. She knows her stuff and is exceptionally good at it. You'll want to benefit from it as you watch this video.

Please upvote and resteem this. That way we can help others to know about these important concepts. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

This post has a lot of value in it. Depending on one stream of income is the biggest mistake that can put anyone into trouble as soon as there are some unforeseen circumstances. Good job @terrybrock.

Stay awesome!

Thank you, @ugetfunded I agree with you. Dorie is right about that multiple streams of income thing. Thank you for your comment.

Indeed 1 income source is no more enough in today's world!

Really great tips and advice in the video.

Keep up the great work XD

Multiple streams of income is a very important concept. It's sad that the education system doesn't teach the general public that they can easily live a financially secure and free life by simply saving a portion of their paycheck and investing it in the various options of passive income. Thanks for sharing this post, it's a very important topic to share with the world. 🔥

You are right, @khaleelkazi. Yes, it would be good if the government schools were to teach those important economic lessons, but they don't. So, instead we have to educate ourselves and take action ourselves. You are right on target with your comments.

Thanx for stopping by today. I look forward to seeing you again

Awesome post , very inspiring. Thanks for sharing , upvoted filled and resteemed 😊

Thank you, @stevecoin77. I appreciate that.

Thank you so much for this great information. I have my own business am in the process of establishing more streams of income since today's world seems to require it as changes come so quickly.

Yes, many of are finding that. Dorie makes some very good points about getting those multiple streams of income and thinking entrepreneurially. Thanx for stopping by today.

Great interview again Terry!

I also started generating multiple incomes beside my studies this year.
For 2018 I already plan some new projects which I'm looking forward to.
Great and inspiring you gave us with this interview.
Definitely I will apply one or another point!

I think rising prices of food, shelter and clothing makes it necessary to get into the side hustle these days. Thanks for covering this :)

Here it the cold hard truth, you are entitled to nothing and everything you want must be earned. That seems to be the major problem with the overall mentality of society at the moment, that and a serious lack of patience. They try something and if does not work immediately they quit or if it does not produce killer money off the bat they quit.
I have spent years building passive income streams. I have multiple websites, they sell books I created and generate $4000 or so a month, add to that the adsense revenue of $200 a month for basically ever. I also have rental properties that provide income commercial and residential. But to have all these things it took years to build.. I'm 40 now and do pretty well, at one time I was just out of the military and nearly broke with little in the way of savings.

Find an idea and stick to it. Never let anything fail for lack of effort. If something does fail just look at it as narrowing in the possible choices to reach your goal. I had five or six failed websites, numerous failed ideas etc.. but it never changed my goal. It simply narrowed down the possible avenues toward that goal.

In order to prove it I'll do it again.. see below..

.

Damn straight, @pawsdog. Good for you no building that system. That is the way to do it. I look forwar dto reading your posts and staying in touch. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kind words and yet you didn't throw me an upvote.. regardless.. It's certainly a labor of love and a shit load of work.. But I wake up every morning drink my coffee and do whatever it is that I wish. I don't live lavishly by any means, nor do I need too. I live comfortably and have not had a traditional job in years. Success is about mind set. Intelligence helps, but there are plenty of successful people much wealthier than me that I could crush on an IQ test, they did it by seeing an opportunity and jumping on it. The did it through sheer will to succeed. When an opportunity like that comes my way I will likewise squeeze the life out of it. Anyone can do it, if they are willing to invest in themselves, and do the heavy lifting to make it happen. I will follow your posts as I like your message.. I will remember you when I get to the top here..

Not sure why @gmuxx felt the need to down vote the previous comment to which the actual author of the post enjoyed and commented back on. Especially as it was inline with the topic of passive income etc. If you have issue @gmuxx feel free to speak with me in regards to what that is and we can certainly resolve it. Sorry @terrybrock I thought it was a good comment. Glad you enjoyed it...

I downvoted a few of your self promotion comments as I find them annoying and insulting to the community. If you want to get ahead on Steemit, this isn't the way to do it. Build a following organically. Work your butt off like the rest of us. Get involved and push the community onward. There is no shortcut.

@gmuxxI never insinuated that there was a shortcut, nor am I attempting to take one. I'm marketing which is in itself quite a bit of work.

I can appreciate the fact that you found a few of my comments annoying and I will be more than happy to remove any posts on your content that may have offended you. That said what you have is an opinion, a somewhat overly aggressive one but an opinion none the less and luckly for those that are not afraid to go for it not an opinion shared by all with high reputation scores. As I am above name dropping or other similar nonsense, some of those from up high with Rep far in excess of either of ours appreciated the message and reached out positively with an open mind. So while I appreciate your opinion, bring it to the table for discussion prior to going in guns a blazing. Hell start a conversation, you may like or find that you have something in common with the guy on the other side of the chat box.

I do, however feel that the downvote here was somewhat unwarranted as everything was on topic and inline with the authors views; so much so that he commented to that effect.

The link that was included was likewise relevant as it puts to test the ability to build a passive income through STEEMIT and evaluates its practicality as a method of passive income production.

If you would of had an open mind and taken just a second to actually view the link and evaluate the study in progress, I'm guessing you would likely appreciate it. That said if you would please be so kind as to remove your downvote from this page it would be much appreciated as the OP appreciated the comment.

If I hadn't seen 75 of these spammy comments in the last 3 hours or so, I might have let this pass. But then I saw another self promotion comment on a friend's post.

Take my advice or don't, up to you, but it won't be long until someone with more power than I will begin flagging all of these.

Fair enough, At least I got your attention and dialogue has started. I will do you the courtesy of going through and trimming the fat.. Which friend did I offend and I will remove it..

@gmuxxI Any without comments or feedback have been removed, I'm sure this included the offending one one your associates page..So are we square, and you may now take your ban hammer off the post above... thanks..That said its always good to keep positive relationships going.. As my Grandmother once said, the toes you step on today, may be connected to the ASS you have to kiss tomorrow..Your comments were noted and appreciated and corrective action has been taken
