Why I Just Backed Up My Crypto Truck and Bought EOS.

The New Ethereum Killer Cryptocurrency Called EOS with Dan Larimer on Anarchast.

Why Did I Back Up My Crypto Truck and Load Up on EOS?

  1. I Freaking Love Dan Larimer. Anyone who makes it a goal to delegitimize government I am a fan of.
  2. He and his team are the Devs behind my favorite social network Steemit. This platform has brought my love back for blogging.
  3. I believe Ethereum and ERC20 tokens are going to have issues in the future. I love what Ethereum has done but I believe there is room for other smart contract platforms.
  4. EOS sounds like it is going to make building blockchain platforms faster and cheaper.
  5. I like being part of platforms that are game changers early on. I missed out on Stratis and Steem when they first launched and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

My Approach with MY EOS Tokens.

I am going to set em and forget em! Like my Stratis, Steem and Flashcoin tokens these bad boys are off the market.

You don't have any concerns with the supply more than 4x'ing a year from now and over a year away from any tangible product?

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of an easier to use and develop smart contract platform with the speed of BTS/STEEM, and I fully believe in Dan's abilities, but it's just too far away with too much inflation for me at this point.

Nope, because Steem was much worse and still made it through.

That's not really the point though. The point is to buy it when it's good value. Buying Steem when it was over $2 a year ago would have been (and was, I bought some) suboptimal. I think buying EOS now is expecting to lose money: it's value will almost certainly drop because the supply will be 4.3x what it is, and other coins (like BTC) will rise, so by waiting you would be able to buy a lot more for less later! I don't know exactly when the best time to buy will be, but I'd guess the EOS/BTC price drops in the next 8 months and will feel pretty good about buying then.

Besides, it's not even true (on a medium scale, early on in Steem there was rapid inflation but we werent around then). Steem's supply was ~45% of what it is now a year ago when the price started skyrocketing, and people who have tokens received interest to reduce the sting of inflation. EOS is 23% of what it will be in a year, and people aren't receiving interest on the tokens.

2 Million new EOS enter the market everyday, it takes a lot to sustain the current price.

Especially when there is no product for a long time. Steem had a working site AND posting on it gives you a return.

dude EOS has not even been implemented.. its super ridiculous that steam is 1.44 and EOS is like 1.7 and its not even proven/implemented. Don't assume this is the next Ethereum.

I'm buying every month, to catch cost-average effect. should give me some nice bonus coins over time :)

I don't have a set schedule but I am accumulating too. Added another 20% when I saw Jeff's post. What an excellent interview. You can see Jeff's brain churning as he realizes that this Dan guy is actually going to take down the ethereal bubble.

Yes Jeff was I think humbled by that conversation with Dan.....making all kinds of facial epressions.

What issues do you think Ethereum ae going to have in the future? Ether is remarkably resilient - it even survived the hard fork into ETH and ETC , partly because of powerful backing in the mainstream press.

Dan is a great engineer, but he lacks marketing ability (remember the stick he used to get when he was on Steemit?), and that might inhibit the progress of EOS. Just my two cents.

I see issues when Ethereum switches from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake.

I agree. Dan is a genius at this stuff. And, he's made it so we can benefit from it, too.

Where are you storing them? Trezor?

EOS and Veritaseum are the crypto assets for the future..

Yes this is going to be an exciting plattform. I think EOS tokens will be at some day in the future under 1 Dollar so I`m still waiting to pick some up :-)

I've bought 776 so far and will get at least 1K. It's a fairly safe long term bet!

Where do you buy it? I don't see it on bittrex.

Bitfenix or Kraken.

where are you storing your EOS coins?

For now I am leaving them on Bitfenix.

Exodus wallet has added support and is probably safer than an exchange

Exodus added support for them. I think myethereumwallet should be able also.

thanks, great news

I watched this last night and it's a great watch. Dan has a very clear vision for what he wants EOS to be and what it can do. For anyone wanting EOS in the states and is having difficulty with the ICO, Exodus wallet is a great option.

Good article mate thanks, I've just setup a bitfinex account so I could buy some EOS deposited some bitcoin on the exchange and now I've got to work out how to exchange bitcoin for EOS any ideas. Cheers mike

Go to trading pair BTC/EOS on Bitfinex. Put in how many you want to buy at what price on the left. Limit orders work well.

Fantastic cheers mate just got my first eos

Thank you much appreciated . Cheers mike

I need help, I keep getting logged out of bitfinex - I PMed you on facebook, Randy, are you on telegram or something? Can I buy 5 minutes of your time?

Woot! I'm with you... loading up the truck right behind ya!

Funny, I did the same after watching the interview with Jeff Berwick...

Yeah. That's my choice as well.
As soon as I have some spare funds :)

I'm still waiting for EOS to appear on the Bitrix exchange. I'll buy it at once.

u may wait a long time for that.

Exodus wallet has built in changelly, and EOS so you can get it from within exodus wallet.....cool

Yeah I guess nobody would want to miss a great crypto opportunity !

Got some more DASH on the big dip. Dipping into EOS too. Thanks.

I bought 10 EOS a couple of nights ago. I'm still a minnow when it comes to all this, so I didn't have much to start with. However, I think EOS will be a good performer if it lives up to Dan and Jeff's hype.

Just set them aside and forget about them. Come back in a year and check on the value.

I'm taking the Ron Popeil strategy, "Just set it and forget it"!

Exactly what I did in my exodus wallet 🙄

I was considering to buy EOS tokens too. Your post came to the right time for me and helped finalize my decision. But more than everything, anyone who makes it a goal to delegitimize government is a fan of me too. Thanks @hilarski

Thanks for the video. I bookmarked it to watch a bit later...

You're doing great. Thanks for sharing! Resteeming...

It looks interesting but you have to wait to see and be cautious many projects start well and then disappear

Bitshares and Steem are still here. History lives clues and Dans are amazing.

Dan has a proven track record, and the project has real value.

I am very impressed with Dan as well, and with what I have learned about EOS so far. Thx for the link - I haven't watched it yet, but I surely will be doing so.

Cool!! Maybe I should look into acquiring a few more. I got one when Exodus added support.

This stuff is getting easier to work with thanks to people like Dan. I think we're in about v0.8 of this stuff and where it's going.

If I can figure out how to put a GPS on Dan's projects so I always know when they'll launch I might get to help so many people.

Interesting post
I think you miliyoner will come
thanks for sharing

I did read quite a bit about EOS aswell and it sounds like THE project with so much backing and promising team. Wish I had more funds to get on the train but i will still invest some or move my ether there instead.

I wish all the best for EOS, but it is a very, very ambitious project to say the least. For long term (>2 years) it is a good investment; less than that... not sure.

I think with the work and expertise from Dan Larimer who has created some phenomenal platforms like Steemit and Bitshares and I'm sure EOS will follow in their success.
EOS is a really useful protocol for people way smarter than me and I'm sure it will blow up in the future.
It is a good idea to start accumulating EOS as I believe it will get big one day and it will be all worth the wait.
Good Luck with your investments @hilarski

Hahaha. I love that :)

Thanks for sharing mate! I think the biggest advantage of EOS is the capability to freeze an App in order to fix it, this way will not affect the entire platform.

I heard a lot about EOS lately, where can you buy it? I am watching video, it is great. Thank you for sharing.

Or use the EXODUS wallet, load a supported coin (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Ether) and use the inbuilt exchange.

Spot on, EOS is a HUGE project with great people behind it, and brings something of value to the table, if you are a crypto trader get into EOS and you will not regret it!

Good one! EOS will have advantages over Ethereum and vise versa. Visa is #1 credit card but right after is Mastercard. Google then Yahoo or Coke and Pepsi + the many successful others. I can't see why it would be any different with smart contracts or blockchains. Over time just as many businesses fail so will 90% of these coins and so it was true for early Internet stocks. However, Google even in its early years was not your average. EOS is def not average! The chances of moon are much higher!

I would normally say "crossing fingers" but with Dan's reputation of being a Crypto Midas I am pretty confident.

Yeah, Dan's ahead of the curve in many ways. i.e: impossible to steal all Steem Power when it can only be power down on weekly bases ;-)

Looks like we need to buy EOS and just hold for the longterm. Thank you for sharing the info :)

Damm !! EOS is killer right now

@hilarski i am gonna follow you and buy more crypto bitfinex. U r really a popular contributor as per #whalesanalytics project

Sick move in bitcoin recently. Are you holding any bitcoin?

I've been on the fence so far, these posts are helping me to select the coin(s) that I'll be investing in.

Best place to buy EOS in Canada? I am not seeing it on Poloniex.

Thanks!

There are sooo many cryptocurrencies. It's almsot impossible to keep up :(

I narrowed my plays to Bitcoin, Steem, Stratis, EOS, Dash, Flash and Guld which still has not launched yet.

Good choice mate! I shall look into EOS I guess. I know nothing about it! :]]]

Always research before buying any crypto currency. A good start would be watching the video above.

Okay, i have to admit i love Dan Larimer too.
And EOS is highly recommended coin to have in your portfolio.
Oh, by the way, Stratis is climbing back, congrats! :d

@grow-pro is dinging message after message in my ear about his excitement over Stratis shooting up. haha

Yes, my Stratis stack lost some serious weight but it is back in the gym adding that mass.

I always believed that Stratis will be needed because of their development in C#.
Get ready some protein shakes because there will be a lot of heavy lifting for Stratis in the future lol.

This picture is hillarious :))))

Exodus Wallet is the easiest way to buy EOS. Upvote this comment if you agree!

I was reading the FAQs and I found this....

5- What features, uses or attributes do EOS Tokens have? Can the EOS Tokens be used on a blockchain adopting the EOS.IO Software?
block.one is building the EOS.IO Software but it will not configure and/or launch any public blockchain platform adopting the open source EOS.IO Software (the “EOS Platform”). Any launch of an EOS Platform will occur by members of the community unrelated to block.one. Third parties launching the EOS Platform may delete, modify or supplement the EOS.IO Software prior to, during or after launching the EOS Platform.
The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features on the EOS Platform.

Funny ...

I have read, you still have to Register your Eos even after you buy them on the Exchange. Otherwise you will lose the lot. A lot of people will miss this and it will be bye bye baby bye bye to the invested $$$$$ Any comment on this?
