I thought I'd have a little fun today and post some "family photos". Back in 1931, my grandmother, Mary Lou Waddell, was the queen of the 1931 Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California. It's fun to brag about this piece of family history every once in a while. My Dad sent me a link to a page that had these "historic" photos on it ( https://calisphere.org/item/0d9f60dd2b8c06aad1b10263edb98427/ ) Pretty cool!
Unfortunately, the parade won't be happening this year (info: https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/rose-parade-2021-special-covid-coronavirus-1234876704/ ) But I'll probably watch the pre-taped special on TV instead.
I'm not sure what the photographer was thinking with this pose above, I swear my grandmother was not an amputee...
I hope you all have a Happy New Year! Cheers to 2021!!!
