Upon arriving at his cabin and opening the door, he froze as he faced something that scared him more than being surrounded by all of his enemies. His wife and daughter were sitting on the master bed; amid all the packages they had collected planet-side. For a moment, he could almost visualize his hard earned credits going poof, then he remembered they, like he, earned their pay and therefore, could spend it the way they wanted. Realizing that, he smiled and called out, "Hi all, I'm home."
His wife came off of the bed and crossed the room and warmly embraced him. "How was your day?" Jean inquired, gazing up at him with love in her brown eyes.
In reply, he ran his fingers through her shoulder length raven hair, caressed her cheeks, and then gave her a kiss that left her breathless.
"That good huh?" A sarcastic voice said.
Indy looked over at his daughter, just in time to see her mock look of disgust, and then in an instant, it was gone, replaced by a charming smile. "That's right Maria."
It was amazing to him how much his daughter had grown. Where there once had been a cute little girl with pigtails, there was now a vivacious young woman with soft curves, long auburn hair, hazel eyes, and a smile that had once had all the young men chasing her. That was before she had gone to Star Fleet Academy, Intelligence training, and then the Quanah Parker. "I see how you've spent the afternoon." He joked.
His reply was an innocent smile from Maria and a poke in the ribs from Jean. He looked down to see her smoldering eyes and pouting lips. "You didn't say anything about my new dress," she whispered, "how do you like it?" She asked, spinning in place. Indy had noticed it when he had entered the room, but took the time to look at it again.
The short sleeve blouse was of red silk and was pulled off of her shoulders, revealing the swell of her breasts. Her skirt was calf length and was shimmery red and black in color, and seemed to flow down and cover the tops of her red velveteen boots.
Indy liked what he saw, "Well ma'am," he said, reverting back to the lingo of his childhood. In a slow Texas drawl, he continued, "I reckon you look like a purty filly. It's a good thang yor married, cause if you wasn't, I'd kull any man that tried fer ya."
His statement elicited a squeal of joy and a hug that left him wishing that they were alone. The fact that he could feel her soft curves as she molded her body to his didn't help him much.
"Do you really like it?" Jean inquired, reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck.
Indy reached down and pulled her closer. "Yes, I do." He whispered in her ear. For a few minutes, he simply relaxed the embrace then teased, "If Maria wasn't here, I'd show you how much?"
That's easily taken care of, Jean thought. Before she could say anything, Maria scrunched her nose, "I'm leaving, good-bye mom, dad." After leaving the room, a sorrowful smile crossed her face, if she could only find someone like her dad, she would be happy forever.
