SNORING!!!

What a nightmare it was....

You must be wondering what's wrong! I guess it's not so much about what's wrong but rather the horrible experience that I had to go through.

The family went to Singapore to attend a wedding and I had to share a hotel room with dad as the others had their own arrangements. It was at Hotel Jen, and thanks to our cousin, we got an upgrade! That was a beautiful experience BUT when it came to sleeping....

1st night, I was busy doing my work on my laptop and occupied with lots of work that made me super tired and exhausted allowing me to sleep through the night though dad was snoring away.

2nd night, the night after the wedding and drinks session. I wasn't able to sleep THE WHOLE NIGHT! We got in bed like 2am or so and dad started snoring and having to sleep next to him, my heart was vibrating to hard. It was like an orchestra that you do not wanna enjoy filled with frustrations and anger yet I can't blame him coz he can't control it.

I tapped him, pushed him and even woke him up in hopes for him to stop snoring or at least for me to fall asleep BUT TO NO AVAIL!

I had so much time to do a quick research on what causes heavy snoring. 2 major things that affects a person to snore is ALCOHOL & SMOKING!! Both of which, my dad had too much that night. I waited for breakfast time and went down at 6am to have breakfast for an hour then head up to TRY AND SLEEP! I almost take pillows and blanket to sleep in the shower tub!!!!

I WAS THAT DESPERATE!!!

In the end, I only fell asleep at 8am, left a message to my dad to not include me in any activities and let me sleep!

Does your dad snore frequently? Obstructive sleep apnea could do a lot of damage to human health, maybe your dad can try a mouthpiece first, if it doesn't work well then only change to CPAP

I heard snoring while you sleep is a form of inappropriate posture positioning especially the neck and and the mouth. However, I have not done any research neither have seek medical specialist advice
