Welcome back to my DTube Hebrew reading & language series.
The full study is now on line covering the Alef-Beyt here in my blog. This is a beginners program to teach letters, vowels, and reading. The vowels are marked in this bible and are designed to help avoid confusion on what a word is and how it is pronounced. The confusion is obvious in the hundreds of interpretations globally. In modern Hebrew, only children need a niqqud or vowel marking for each letter. Old manuscripts also usually have vowels marked.

This week I had guests and spent the day before sunset creating a meal including home made challah, fish, and vegetables served with wine. I truly relaxed during shabbat.
This week's reading is from Genesis 1:22-23
We are in the fourth day as God blesses the creatures in the waters and the birds telling them to multiply and fill the earth.
There is a plan, and there is an end in that plan. He said, "Fill the the waters and in the seas and let the birds multiply on the earth." I see no problem with that continuing until the end.

Them and You
In this reading we see the direct object, or the receiver of the action (the blessing), "and he blessed --them..." (oh-tam). When the direct object is a represented by a pronoun, you see a long dash indicating the object of the verb.
Normally the you and they as the subject are part of each word that each are doing, which is represented by the ending "vav" marked with a dot (shoorook) to the left. In this passage...
- be fuitful - p'roo
- and multiply - oor'voo
- and fill - oo-mee-l'oo
These are commands but you will see that a vav+shoorook at the end of a word can be you, your, they or their as interpreted in English. The vav is also "and" at the beginning in these cases.
I am experimenting with trying to produce written Hebrew using a stylus, but it's not the same. At some point, I may have writing practice. What do you think?
If you have been with me from the beginning, you should be able to read on your own, maybe with some mistakes. But you can start practicing and building vocabulary. I am reading a little faster and pointing less each week. I hope you are too.

Learning languages is a combination of reading, speaking, listening, understanding and vocabulary.
Agree! The best way to learn Hebrew language is to actually spend time among people speaking Hebrew. That’s the way I learned my second language. Also read, watch tv... And the most important is the motivation and willingness to learn. One thing that caught my eye and I’m curious how do you call on materialistic things if you only use she or he instead of it? I also noticed no word for word translation in many languages. I guess that’s what makes it the most difficult in language learning. Great post though!
You do the same as in Spanish or other languages with gender.
"Una abeja vino a investigar lo que estaba comiendo y ella me picó."
Saying, 'ella' is the word "it" but a feminine thing that bit me. The same is seen in the Tanakh we use.

according to the chapter you taught and mentioned above, God blessed all that he created, he said be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth. God blessings are rich and it adds no sorrow, whatever he says in his word must come to pass.

Fruitful, multiply and fill are three important words that exhibit the big heart of God to bless us. Looking at them in the Hebrew perspective can bring a lot of meaning in a different dimension. Thanks for your great highlights of certain important reminders about God's plan for us.

i think this matter was really good!
I’ve already learned a lot from you about this one of the oldest languages of all. It so unique the use of a different alphabet and the right to left direction for reading and writing. With English having to use much more words then Hebrew makes me think it actualy may not be that difficult at al. I still consider it an art language. I do now understand that “vav” on the left combined with “shoorook” at the end of a word can mean as you, your, they or their in English. It’s tough, I had to readi few times to get it a bit. I hope I didn’t mess up. 😆
Another informative Ivrit language post @hebrew. Everyone now studying more time those ancient language.

I impressed with your passion for this historical holly language to promote an awareness here through steemit to whole world. many peoples who did not know about even the name of this language now also know about it due to your countless efforts and dedications. your way of teaching is also extraordinary. Your Braided Bread is looking in picture so delicious and simple, really good effort.
My videos would be longer if I were not a bit timid. I have no problem with songs, but I was never good at reading aloud.
The fish came out well too. Breaded may have held together better but I am experimenting with olive oil and chives lately.
This is compelling and superb. I'm just getting to know about the ancient language of Ivirit for the first time.

I will try to overcome my shy tendencies and do one on pronunciation. I am not very well equipped for video making and editing. True though. I explained pronunciation in my blog using text. Video would be better.

A Hebrew Bible manuscript is a handwritten copy of a portion of the text of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) made on papyrus, parchment, or paper, and written in the Hebrew language. (Some of the Biblical text and notations may be in Aramaic.) The oldest manuscripts were written in a form of scroll, the medieval manuscripts usually were written in a form of codex. The late manuscripts written after the 9th century use the Masoretic Text.
