The ancient language of ivrit ( עברית ) Genesis 1 - Part 3
hebrew reading language tanakh

The full study is now on line covering

the Alef - Beyt in detail @hebrew on Steemit.com. The vowels are marked in this bible and are designed to help avoid confusion on what a word is and how it is pronounced, as if there is not already enough of that in the interpretations globally. In modern spoken Hebrew, only children need the niqqud until they have the pronunciation memorized.

day one

This is a very late start to my Shabbat reading because I have been sick with a cold. Yesterday I tried to sing a Hebrew song and made over 15 takes with none coming out well. Today I tried to print the next few verses so that I could easily point with a pen in stead of holding one up on the screen. Then I tried reading the next few verses and had forgotten to press record. This has been one of the most time consuming posts I have made ever.

Last reading we left off with God telling us the light was good. Let's continue...

Please understand that I am sick, dehydrated, and got out of bed several times to make this post. Nothing seemed to work.

This one was short but took many hours of effort.

Firstly, i wish you quick recovery and I hope you get better soon. Also, the learning was on point for me today though it was short unlike the previous ones. Anyways, it's better brief and well taught than being lengthy and shallow.
To be honest with you sir, i've not found it easy writing but i believe with constant practise i will be better

I am always a huge fan of this ancient language as it owns vast collection of wording. Your way of explaining the things is so so effective & very composed. I am proud to be to your student and yes you are a constant source of learning for me, massive respect for you the Selfless Soul aka @hebrew <3

I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I hope you're able to get better soon. Ginger-lemon tea always helps me feel better.

I'm really sorry to hear about all your hardships in managing to record that specific reading - my heart is with you and I'm happy it came out right eventually - heard it now and enjoyed it greatly!

The separation between light and darkness - between good and bad/ right and wrong is a fascinating idea:
We might ask ourselves why there is evil in the world? By myself - I don't think we can answer this - it's something inherent in god's idea that we can't understand.
but there are those claiming that bad was created in order for the good to be discernible - by contradicting it to the bad, we can understand and appreciate the good.
Just like we can understand light only when it's a separated entity from the darkness.

Thanks again @hebrew :)

Edit: And be well, I'll pray for your health in the ברכת כהנים tomorrow morning.

It's been almost six months I've been reading your blog, it's wonderful and thank you for all those times, Amen!

Shabbat Shalom. Prayers for your speedy recovery from your cold. We have been hit hard with colds this fall and winter also. Get lots of rest.

A lesson to learn with ease and simplicity you explained in very simple way to me a big thanks to you dear :)

Certainly Yeshua is smiling as he watches you use a mouse pointer to scroll across the Hebrew letters as you teach strangers from all over the world who come together on Steemit each Shabbat and learn to read the Torah in Hebrew.

The great value of understanding hebrew provides greater understanding of our English bible as English can never express the richness and multiple meaning of even a single hebrew word. Thank you so much in taking time to post even when you are sick. May God bless your health richly and let you have a speedy recovery for more fruitful hebrew interpretation articles.
