David, I have an academic friend in Stockholm who has connection to Bolivia also is a member of the Left Party. He wrote a good post on his Facebook that while he is against the current right-wing trend in Bolivia he also wrote that Morales government was not acting in democratic and constitutional sense and that many socialists and left-wingers should accept that rather than promoting irrational stances and conspiracy theories.
Looks like a coup, huh?

It is amazing that there are racist politicians in those days in some countries. People must not tolerate that.
She was fifth in line to take over as president, after the resignations of the others they notified her and she was sworn in. Hopefully she won't resort to doing stupid stuff like trying to finagle herself into staying in power or ignoring the electorate when they voted they didn't want to eliminate term limits. If she's smart she'll do this short term and not run for president, these types of things usually don't work out to well for women.
