This has been in my drafts for a few (ok several) months... You may have seen by now, a few other folks have shared similar posts. But with everything going on in my life currently, I was unable to get this out... now is the time to do so!
A beautiful postcard, with Tulips from Holland. Because Britt knew we loved Tulips so much, and a Miami magnet, too!...
A thoughtful hand-written letter, to my fiance and me. Slightly blurred, as to hide some of the words... because they were ours to see...
You probably have no idea what I am going on about... right? Let me give you some "backstory"! Firstly... you gotta read this:

This post is past the payout period, of course. But I know she would love a visit from you! Now then... From the title, I'm sure you know what I may be trying to do... say thank you! But you should know me better than that!
A job worth doing is a job worth overdoing!
Now... I usually spend several months working on posts. That's the God's honest truth. I started this one around... Well, it's been some time. But I am not one to give up, and I sure don't take dear friends for granted. You see... Britt was on vacation with her family. But she took the time to think of a few people and send them these beautiful postcards. You know... those things you actually write in? Send it off to someone in the mail? It reminds me of the days of having a "Pen Pal". Not that I ever had one, mind you. But these current times we live in; everything is taken care of with technology. There's usually a program, or an "App for that!". But to me... this brings us back, to the days of sitting down at the dinner table. The family eating together... talking about the events of their day. All of these things... without a cellphone.
I have known dear Britt, since my first days of joining The Terminal Discord Server. Keep this in mind; back before the "Hardfork". It was known as the SteemTerminal. But the name is not the focus here. It's the energy behind it. We all consider ourselves a "second family", and I just couldn't let this wonderful gift go, without bragging a little bit. I do have to apologize. As this has taken me much longer to get written and posted than I had planned. But as the title suggests... Better late, than never! So then... I do hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. I appreciate you taking the time to strain your eyeballs on my mumbling banter. But let this be a positive reminder, of what true friendship really is. Who knows... maybe I will write another post soon... but don't hold your breath!

The post card is beautiful, I think a handwritten note is like a far away hug. I get totally jazzed whenever I get a letter/ card! I'm so glad you were able to share this. Thinking of ya and sending big hugs your way 🤗

Tulips are my favourite flower but no one has ever gifted me one 😅 that’s very lovely you got a letter. All the things you have said is true in this generation everything is technology based and it doesn’t make anyone feel that much prioritised. Like even if they want to wish someone on a special day they would search online for that and copy paste few words that’s the only effort they can care to give.

That's very true!! Not many people do that anymore. Most things are typed on phones or computer keyboards. Here, in the States. They have almost completely removed cursive writing from the schools. Our grandkids came to us one day, and based us to teach them how to write in cursive!! That just blew my fiance and I, away! Anyway... I sure do appreciate you stopping by to leave a comment.
