Which was your favorite Sport in School Days?

As humans, each and everyone of us have our favourite sports we used to love or still love while we also have some sports we can't imagine or see ourselves playing.

For me, I remember those days in college when my sport teacher without my consent forced me to join the volley ball team because of my heights while i on the other hand disliked that sports and wouldn't want to go near that pitch.

When it was time for sports, i would always run into the ladies to hid so I don't get to be picked by my sports teacher to play and after he has picked the necessary people needed, i will then come out and stand afar watching them.

One of the sports loved watching was football, in as much as I am afraid of playing the ball for fear of injury I always enjoy sitting down to cheer the players because it was always fun and enjoyed helping them as a goal keeper but whenever i was picked as a player i always run away for fear of sustaining injury from playing.

Of the sports I willingly played or was forced to play because of my height, one of the sports I always enjoyed joining back then in school and still will love to create time for is SKIPPING.

For this game, I wouldn't mind going hungry just to be a part of the players back then in school. I always had so many of my classmates run to me to be my skipping partners, nobody wants to go up against me because they all know I never give up when it comes to skipping rope and always come out the top winner in skipping. Even at home, I had my personal skipping rope that I used to learn how to skip in different styles just to always emerge the top winner.

I remember how each and everyone of us would always drop a little amount of money as team to just so we can purchase as many skipping rope as possible so that it would be enough for everyone of us to use and most days, we would be asked to get our partners and skip in two's.

Any day, I was able to escape my sports teacher and join the skipping rope team, I always return home satisfied and happy but any day, my sports teacher notices me even before i make an attempt to run out of the class so that I won't join in the volley ball team, I go home unfulfilled and all stressed up because I hated the game so much and can't stand been in the front line of such game.

I really commend those guys who enjoys or plays such sport, to me that seems like the most boring sports ever. Can't just imagine standing on the pitch throwing ball back and forth and most times, the ball ends up hitting you so hard you will want to cry if you are not strong enough.

One of the reasons I love skipping is because of the fun I get from joining my peers. Skipping can be done in one, in two's, in three's, or in four's while you have someone counting how many times you are skipping, all you are focused on is trying hard not to miss a skip so you don't get disqualified from the game or got to wait for some time before your turn comes again. The need to want to surpass other skippers in the game and be the top skippers evolves you so much that is all you think about.

So for you, which was your favorite sport or most preferred sports in School Days?

Sort:

Cricket it was for me, as I was a pretty good bowler back in college. My choice of sport has changed dramatically over the years as I found myself playing football often times due to lack of close-by cricket pitches.

I would say whether it were football, basket ball, tennis, judo or even boxing; what is mostly important is that one gets a good exercise and have fun participating in any of her sport(s) of choice.

Wow, cricket? it is such a nice choice but I don't think I have really seen anyone play such sport around me.

You are right, what matters is the execrise and the happiness one derives when doing a particular sports.

Thanks visiting my post with such a lovely comment, I sight you.

Sweetheart,
If Scrabble can be counted as Sports, then I'll go with scrabble, but if not, then it's football.

Football, anytime, any day.

Lols... that's a good one hmmm but I really do not know how you guys play that game. I don't understand that game at all but it is a good one since it involves our intellect.

Mine was and is still football. I think that was just the one sport I loved and so engaged in my school days.

Football is a good one and I know amny will go for that sports. I love that sports but I am afraid of egttng injured. I can't stand the injury from ball or boots from players, it is really painful.

I can't let go of football. I can recall one day in college where I stayed in school about 5 hours after school hours just to satisfy my hunger for football. I really miss those days.

Lols... then what are you waiting for, just join the footballers and satisfy that hunger.
