Hello friends of Hive, today I come to participate in an incredible Hive Top Chef competition, promoted by @qurator, where I will use PUMPKIN as the main ingredient! The food that I will prepare will be some exquisite Pumpkin Gnocchi in Napolitana sauce 😋.
The ingredients to use are:
For the gnocchi:
- 350 gr of pumpkin.
- 400 gr of wheat flour.
- 1 egg.
- Salt to taste.
For the Neapolitan sauce:
- 100 gr of tomato puree.
- 1/4 chopped onion.
- 2 spinach leaves, chopped.
- 1 teaspoon of butter.
- 3 garlic cloves.
- 1 teaspoon of oregano.
- Salt to taste.
Preparation of the gnocchi:
1. Remove seeds and placenta from the pumpkin. Then wash and cut into pieces to bring to a boil with a little water until the pulp is soft.
2. Once cooked, remove the water, let it rest and then with the help of a spoon, remove the pulp from the peel and grind to form a kind of paste.
3. Then we add the egg, the salt and stir.
4. Then we add the flour, stir and then pass it to the counter, spreading more flour, so that it does not stick.
5. Knead a little, chop the dough into several pieces and make long strips and then chop the gnocchi of the size you want.
6. With the help of a fork we pass each gnocchi, in such a way that they are marked and species of ditches are left on the surface.
7. Then we add the gnocchi little by little in boiling water for approximately 2 minutes, when they float they can be removed.
Preparation of the Neapolitan sauce:
1. Add the butter with the garlic, onion and spinach to a saucepan over medium heat, fry for a few seconds.
2. Then add the tomato puree, oregano, salt and stir for 1 minute.
Done! finally we serve and combine these extraordinary flavors in the same dish. Enjoy your meal!
