HOSTING MY FIRST HIVE MEET-UP
Today I hosted 13 hivians in Ibadan at the Agodi Gardens. This comes after months of planning. I was supposed to host one in Lagos about a year ago but it didn't happen--this one almost never did.
After months of planning we were able to meet up today and I must say this is one of the best achievements of the year. At first I was nervous. Most of the people who signed up were newbies and I did not have prior communication with them. However, it turned out great since we all had one thing in common--hive.
We spent the next 4hours sharing our hive stories and motivating each other. We took a digital community into the physical realm and it was amazing.
I am hoping to host more of these meetups in the coming months. I want to say a big thank you to @hivenaija for the funds to host this meetup and everyone who showed up, namely:

I really hope more of this will come and that the actual plans to building a thriving hive naija community is fruitful. I am willing to show my support in my own little capacity.

I can't begin to explain how dope it was seeing @samostically and @wildthoughts for the first time. Then chilling and getting to know @peaq.
We weren't much but the vibe was real.
I see my Hive crush @mistakili... We totally need to start planning a general meet-up coz the people on Hive are brilliant souls.
That would take some planning but we can pull it off. I think the meetup was much needed. It did rekindle an old flame in me.
I was just excited all through. We could use 6 months or less to plan. I know it's possible.

This meet was really a memorable one.
Got to meet people, learn so much from stories about their hive journey and learn a quite some things about growing on the Hive platform.
This is something I definitely want to see more of happening!

Good to hear that it was a success . I would have travel down to Ibadan from Ilorin but due to some project am running it was difficult to come over. But I hope to attend next meetup if not too far from Ilorin Kwara state

Alright most of them about hive naija but they have not been that active on discord I know about more than ten people . I will try talk to them and see how it goes

The meet up was a blast really...seeing everyone that turned up today really inspired me,the hive story shared by bosses like @bhoa and @mistakili was Wao!. Meeting the likes of @kenechukwu97 @jaydr and my amazing doctors; @emmaba1,@drceeyou @draysax and talented folks like @uddydan @typebox is really a blessing I can't quantify,the way we bonded is what I can't explain. How would I also forget out mamas,two beautiful soul that graced the meet up @blezyn @akubillionnaire.
Lastly I will like to say a big thank you to @nonsowrites for putting up this amazing Meetup and will also forgive him for wrongly spelling my username in this post...smiles.

I finally got to put a face to the username, @nonsowrites. It was a wonderful event and I learned so much. I am very grateful to all the bosses who were there to show us the way and help us on this journey. I do not take it for granted. Thanks again.

Wow this is a beautiful initiative....gutted to have missed this. Didn't know there was a meetup in Ibadan my city, maybe this is due to the fact that i am still new on hive. Making it to the event would have answered a lot of my questions, quite pained but hopefully there would be another soonest. Keep doing the Lord's work boss @nonsowrites
There will be another time. Just follow the community and let's see what happens in the nearest future. The people in Ibadan are warming up to hive so I guess it is a good start.

Watching this I really wish the Lagos meet-up had held. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next one wherever it is
it is unfortunate we were unable to get people in lagos together. But I will plan towards making it happen soon.
