Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly open mic event attracts enthusiastic musicians and listeners. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the music with a Community Concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for expression and connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a more harmonious world by sharing our enjoyment of music.
For the 116th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Trumpet Sound." This theme is chosen by our recent Spotlight Artist: @ovey10. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Trumpet Sound.
“Trumpet Sound”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Trumpet Sound.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week 116,” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

Porque para la próxima semana, la 117, me gustaría participar con la canción de Ana Gabriel "Amigos, simplemente amigos" y por el estilo de la canción creo que quedaría mejor con una música de pista de fondo. Hello, community of musicians and music lovers, this week the proposal is to sing a song that mentions a trumpet. This theme was chosen by our recent Spotlight Artist: @ovey10. When I saw this I immediately remembered the song "Ligia Elena", a beautiful love story between a girl from high society and a trumpeter from the neighborhood. This song was made popular by Ruben Blades and here in Venezuela it was also the theme music of the soap "Ligia Elena" where this story was dramatized, with the protagonists being Alba Roversi and Guillermo Dávila. I had a lot of fun with this production that I hope you like it.

Hello, Hive Open Mic community, this week it was not possible for me to fulfill the theme "Trumpet Sound" proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist: @ovey10, but I did not want to stop participating and I wanted to bring you a song that is extremely special. It is the acceptance of death, with an allegory made from the "point of view" of a tree.
